At $500 this might be one of the best deals out there for a full strings library! Really amazing update. The 'live' mode was especially nice sounding in that demo for fast runs too.

And my upgrade cost just $49......and that was to cover Native Instruments's serial number fee and stuff....
So Cinematic Strings are really getting behind it's current customer base and offering the upgrade at a more than fair price!
very good...very good...!!!!
downloading it now!

Volume on the mod wheel here right now...i'm no orchestral library expert by any means...but of the ones i have...various Lass /some spitfire stuff /miroslav philharmonic / garritan...and older EX24 stuff...........this seems very well thought through.....
yes... just very well thought through indeed and user friendly...nice looking too...
In tune!!...and in time!!!!!!
I have just loaded the 5 instances within Kontakt and switched on all the mics and all the articulations...showing 7.55 gig in the memory server.... only light activity in the Logic meters when playing a simple 5 part test...
a brilliant update!

The update price is unbelieveable, but I didn't have the original - I've mostly been using LASS and Symphobia 1&2, Session Strings and a little Kirk Hunter, but I don't think I will be able to resist this library for long..... |

Compliments LASS very well....in fact it rather sets the stage for the LASS library to work upon to greater effect i feel.
I always felt these libraries could work closely together.
Now they have both updated...i think i was right.
Definately distant cousins if not long lost brothers!

Hmm sounds pretty epic. Shame Reason doesn't take VST :( (I know, I know, Rewire, but damn it's a pain and buggy to use).

Now that Adagio is postponed by a couple months, and considering the new price for this library, It's a great temptation (500$ vs 700$ before, right?). Not sure what to choose yet between this library and Orchestral String Run by Orchestratools though...

Not sure what to choose yet between this library and Orchestral String Run by Orchestratools though... | Adagio first release will just be violins. You get all with CS for the same price basically. Orchestral Runs is a totally different concept so depends on what you need more, phrases or playable strings.

What about the sound quality? does it worth the money if I currently have Hollywood Strings, VSL Chamber Strings 1 and 8dio's Adagio? (well, Adagio arrives in may)

But i think the programming, GUI, mic position sound and the hall sound captured in the reverb, together with the actual string sections and the recording quality are excellent.
sounds very good indeed...by any standards.

Just grabbed these, and am very impressed so far at the ease of use and hugeness of sound.
