Software "Grasso" - Saturation and compression unit from SKnote

I'm happy to present the new saturation and dynamics unit: "Grasso".

After a lot of work on "subtle" effects, now it was the time for someting more obvious.

"Grasso" (italian for "Fat") is just that: saturate, drive, compress, from subtle to distortion. A mixing and mastering effect.

It is available for Win and Mac, VST, AU (and coming RTAS/AAX), 32 and 64 bit.

Features:

- headroom and dry unit: manage saturation and resolution to make the sound more full and dry
- saturation unit: tube emulation with several algorithms, with optional second stage and frequency control
- compression unit with oversampling and high resolution control on the peak shape
- spank and resonance control for more presence

Why all those tubes there? A visual feeling of the goal of the plugin is so useful when the screen is crowded and the mix is complicated...

Nice. I like the Roundtone and Presence plugins and I LOVE the GTS-39, can't wait to hear this!
I love "distortion" type effects, how hot and heavy will this get? Very I hope!
I use the drive in my UAD Moog Filter a lot as a distortion effect, would love something that compresses at the same time.

Wow. Looks deep. Happy to help test-drive it.

Seems like the kind of thing that would benefit from some well-considered presets.

Wow, looks pretty cool! This more aggressive effect will greatly complement the rest of the lineup. I love your other plugins so I can't wait to check this one out. Count me in if you need Mac AU testers!

Whoa, that one looks good. And after purchased some of your excellent plugins, i am very excited at this!
To make clear, this is not the Soundbrigade plugin you've promised for those who purchased before 22nd Jan, or am i wrong?
I also thought the fat compressor was also coming to be integrated into the upcoming Bus 2.0?

I would really like to be one of your beta testers. Count me in!

It's not "Soundbrigade", that one is keeping its name and you'll REALLY love that one, because it is more than unique

And the new Bus v.2 is getting the new opto compressor, modeled after a very famous one and extended.

This one is a different thing, how you said it compliments the grey series. Yes, everything is converging toward that price range, don't worry

Well, to be honest that one was too nice (and fits too well) to resist

On Win forever, but the power decreases year after year.
On Mac OS about one year, then you have to replace them with compatible ones.

quintosardo, your first post says:
Quote:
It will be available for Win and Mac, VST, AU and RTAS
The KVR announcement says:

It will be available for Win and Mac, VST, AU and RTAS/AAX
Is it their typo, or AAX is indeed planned down the road? (Just wondering, as I've taken a new year resolution not to invest in anything RTAS any longer and go for AAX only. If AAX is planned, would buy the plug without even testing though...)

Yes, RTAS and AAX go together, now, so you can read "RTAS/AAX" wherever I write RTAS
