meeeeeeeeh not baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad...

imagine a ada8000 with usb/firewire connection to your computer...
then with such interface u can add a high quality ada with adat and spdif
they squeezed 4 preamps...
if the price is around 250-400, it's reasonable as a beginner interface to start with if u need lots of i/o
if the price is over 400, it's ridiculous while u could go for steinber, rme, focusrite, motu etc...

Get away with what? Stealing is not illegal or immoral anymore. Don't stand up against it. You will be bashed. Don't you know that people without means are entitled to have something cheap, no matter what it takes to make that product cheap? Oh, and it must compare to high-end products, and you had better not say that it doesn't or you will be a hater.

usb and firewire port so when the fw breaks in the first month you get an extra week of 3 second latency in a usb port

What I was hoping for... A re-skinned ADA8000... With a better design/layout(I would not call it ugly BUT it is)... in and outs(d-sub) on the rear... with alternative to bypass the preamps when going line in... they could even skip the preamps faic.

The behringer video on youtube says it will retail @ $249 usd for the 1616 and the smaller one @ $200!! They're saying they have improved the converters from the ada8000, which wasn't bad at all imo, so this could be the bargain of the century?

We shall see. Even for beginning users on a low budget, this stuff rises and falls with decent drivers.

This is especially important for Windows users, which is probably most of the beginning crowd out there.

A well picked $500 laptop, $60 Reaper and this $250 interface, in addition to any microphones you need. Not too bad, but let's wait and see how well these units test.

PS: in fact it does not matter because you can use it with external computer via adat if latency would be not an issue.

It says: "Usually" ships in 7-14 days. Probably because they don't have Behringer in stock or something...
