Hardware Phaedrus Audio Products - Modern Tube Technology Inspired By EMI REDD Series Gear

Hello All -

First post ever here - I hope not to embarrass myself too badly...

I wish to bring to everyone's attention a new company from England, Phaedrus Audio, http://www.phaedrus-audio.com/ that I stumbled across while looking for a REDD.47 type channel to bring into my recording studio. This company is comprised of some really wonderful people - technicians who've worked together to "re-invent" classic audio gear, including the famous EMI REDD series components employed by the engineers at Abby Road to record some of the most famous Beatles recordings.

I've purchased their PHAB mic preamp, their PHI DI, and have their PHAMULUS compressor on order - I also have a SHUpHLER in my possession.

For anyone interested in re-visiting the tube-console sounds of the '50s and '60s, to add warmth to the front end of digital recordings, or to get that-which-you-just-can't from solid-state gear or software - these are some lovely sounding products! Perhaps the most remarkable of the lot is the SHUpHLER - I've been astonished at times, listening to what that devise can do for stereo recordings...

Anyway... I feel compelled to say I am not an employee of Phaedrus Audio. I do have an informal relationship with the folks there, in that I've told them I'd endeavor to spread the word about their company. I'd be talking about the products anyway, as I'm very excited and pleased about the recordings I've been getting using them.

Does anyone else here own one of these Mic preamps? Are the tubes run at full voltage?
