Mojo no mojo I don't care so much.

It's about the presence and position of the sound.
That's what I like about these plugins. They give me a chance to change the attitude of the sound.

I want it to sit nicely? SatSon Channel

More defined and exciting? VCC

More present in the mix without being lowder? Roundtone

Smooth transients ? MPX

More 3d? SatSon Bus with VCC Bus

More defined and smoother highs? Cuttertone

Extreme parallel processing with a lot of "mojo" ? Devil Loc Deluxe

These are all small steps on achieving great sounds ITB.

I don't care so much what they model and how amazingly well they did it.
Most importantly they all tried their best and it shows.

I absolutely love what happened in 2011 mojo wise and can't wait to see more.

Disclaimer: these will not mix for you, solve a bad recording or a bad song.

Just tools that make your life easier and more beautiful soundwise.

Am I the only one who wouldn't mind a bit more hype from Slate and company? An audio clip, teaser video, a release ETA (e.g. mid-March), blatant bashing of the competition ("our VTM will eat your ATR for breakfast"), anything.

Though, based on how talked about VCC was prior to release and the reaction to that, I probably hold the minority opinion in this forum.

I'll be livid if this comes out before the FG-X update.

I don't need the hype.
I'd rather have a solid release without needing & waiting for major updates like SSD4 & VCC.
I want to be able to use software, not drool over them.

I agree. The whole ETA issue got VCC off on the wrong foot and turned into a beta issue.

Just let us know when it's fully cooked and ready for sale!

There is not such thing as an FG-X update. Its urban legend.

Hmm. Sure this is just a little blip in a mostly unrelated thread, but... yeah. Without saying anything, I'm saying something. You know what I mean?

SSD4 crashes on loading a drummap in both Cubase and Reaper. They haven't fixed this for more than two months...

Other than that I am looking forward to the Slate Tape, but please fix this essential thing in SDD4 first.

Hi Tombour, I've been loading maps all morning with not a single crash, so please send a ticket in with your system specs so we can investigate the scenario to help.

There are major SSD4 updates in the works, and they should be out very soon.

Cheers,
Steven

Hi!

Could you tell us more about the machines that the VTM emulates?

2" 16 track is Studer? What's the 1/2" 2 track based on?

Really anticipated about this whole stuff!

Even though the slate digital plugs I own, I really like a lot, I will not buy into anymore hype or anticipated waiting game for their plugs to arrive. I'll just simply carry on working and when they get here, I'll check them out at least a month after their official release. The hype (where ever it comes from) has made me a lot more cautious with this company. I don't engage in reading the slate threads anymore in any of their products. Time and only time will change the reputation especially when it comes to release times and compatibility issues.

That's pretty much what I did with VCC. When the smoke cleared I purchased it and been very happy since but I waited until everyone stopped complaining about bugs. That said I'm looking forward to this one. Great tape machines will always be welcome in my rig

I'll be livid if this comes out before the VCC Mac PPC version promised well over a year ago. There has never been a working version of it since I brought it late 2010.

It's obvious where the Slate priority's lie. It's even more insulting the number of times Steven comes here to say how hard there working on it.
I just don't buy into the hype anymore.
