Good to see he's trying something a bit different.

I had a giggle at the pricing at the end of video, I'm sure its a mistake lol

you mean 139x as expensive. I paid .99 for animoog - which is crazy cheap for how cool that thing is.

I disagree! This is not boring. This is exciting! What I see and hear is an innovative soft synth with a new kind of additive twist. I'm looking forward to its release. Cool name too. :-).

I found pre-order pricing of £78.95 (inc vat). That sounds like a good deal to me!

It might sound good, but at first, I don't like the design at all.

typical of his plug ins.. lot's of interesting sounds but love it or hate GUI.. i tend to find them way too busy.. i know these are complex instruments with lot's of parameters but if i don't even want to look at it i'm sure as hell not gonna buy it or use.

it's called 'feature creep' though.. everyone wants everything in every plug in.. god forbid something has a few limitations and 20 less knobs.

+1 Those knobs are relentless and overcrowded. I can see that it is very logically laid out but there is nothing inspiring me to want to play with it. A bit more colour would help as would some more graphic elements like ADSR and LFO graphic windows, just to break it up a bit, and create a bit of visual interest. I like the idea sound wise, but the design is putting me off. Where is the fun?

I don't care much if the GUI is too busy (although I agree it's a busy one) as what I'm interested in is the sounds it can deliver.

If someone has already given it a try I'd love to hear what your impression is sound wise. From the demo there is one sound that I found really nice, the other ones didn't appeal me that much.

I shall add that I probably didn't dig the demo too much 'cos it's way too Dubstep oriented to my taste, and Dubstep is a genre I could not care less for. But additive synths has nice stuff under its sleeves and I'm very curious how Blade stands next to more traditional additive synth (which ain't that common anyway).

i'm disappointed.

- too heavy on the cpu
- gui is ugly like hell
- timbre labels are hard to read/select
- the knobs react too slowly
- presets are 90% sci-fi

i miss:

- timbre editing
- 1 cycle waveform loading
- wave file import
- multimode filters
- a second layer/part
