Looks like it has potential to be incrementally better than the Alesis Studio IO Dock

| ![]() They should have included an HDMI out instead of whatever they include. It looks like some sort of analog video out. |

Ok, so it really looks like an almost direct knockoff of the io dock, but with phono in and composite (wtf) video out.

This should really be marketed as a Dock connector to USB converter with some bells and whistles. |

I'll say one thing for Behringer: Thank you for including a kensington lock socket. I would be VERY interested to see how this compares to the IO Dock which - so far - is functional but has many, many software related issues. |

| Looks like it's on the front side(just below the phone nob...). Click the Behringer link and look at the pics. It's probably what it is...

CES was last week. Seems like a better venue for this thing. |

| Don't mean to confuse. Just saying that the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) was half in Anaheim last week and that a device like this (and really all the iOS devices with introduced at NAMM) really should've been introduced there. To make a serious point here, devices like this are tools yes, but here they are treated more like playthings. It's really underpowered to be high end and do amazing real time low latency audio work on (the IPad 1 can barely even run Garage Band) and here they are making devices that use this limited capability to create what (IMHO) can't really be considered professional. Would I take this out and use it with a client? No. Would I take something like this out to play with my friends? Yeah, once or twice. To me, it's a plaything that would get much greater press at an event such as CES. It would be a featured product that people would go gaga for. Here it (and products like this) just lower the bar for everybody. iOS, Windows Metro and Android integration should be something much more elegant and useful to be held up to professional standard...again IMHO.
