That's twisted from what I would have said about the 2254 which is like a 1272 with a compressor attenuation section added. That certainly uses a B283/AV

Oh no, I´m the one who has to ask for Pardon, Geoff!!! I should be more carefull when editing my texts, specially when citting others!!! I´m sorry!

What you said was "The very first 2264 was built in a steel 1073 style case and the custom extrusion they used subsequently was only fitted to the 2264" Which obviously has NOTHING to do with the amp.

To make it worse I actually knew that the amp in a 1073 is a B283/(something)... but, I don´t know much more anyway

I think today is the day that I´m going to be banned!!!

Thanks for clarifying!

Hi

No, nobody is going to ban you for such a minor deal

One thing that puzzles me about the rack photo at the top of this posting is that the modules don't appear to have the semi-shears at the top and bottom that slide in the ISEP rails. The rack shows the tapped insert and stud and retainer for the rails, but no rails and no way of connecting to them.

So when fitted in a Neve console, they will be buggers to line up and the weight of the module will rest on the mating connector once engaged.

Just my 2c.. compare the top/bottom plates to the AMS-Neve and BAE versions.

Well... I´m afraid not correct.
Take a closer look and you´ll find we have replaced the semi-shears with 4 solid studs of exactly the same height and width. Those semi-shears in vintage modules used to get bowed so we opted for a more solid solution.

These modules will slide into ISEP rails of Neve consoles exactly as the vintage modules. In case you need a closer pic please let me know.

Anyway we are open to any ideas that may help us improve! Thanks!!

Hi

Thanks for the clarification. My comments were preciptated by the populated Neve style rack totally devoid of guide rails and the low res photos that could not show the teeny studs.

So all we have left now is the -100dBm noise specification with no datum references to be clarified and we are all hunky doory.

Around 3-4 mS, more like 3 on the compressor and 4 on the limiter. Definitely not like a L2 or L3....
