Hurry up and grab one Retinal, so you can be the guinea pig. Unless of course Heritage wants to cut me a nice little deal. Heh

lol :D will do, don't ask me why because this is gonna be a purchase based
on nothing really 'cept the pictures on this thread, which btw are sweet,
especially the guts, so is not totally blind I guess..
But I do really have some slots free and I need pres, so why not?
I heard all the Neve clones in 500 series and I didn't like them,
not enough to buy them, and yet, I do want a Neve flav in my lunchbox
because I'm about to have several out-of-the-studio recording sessions
and I wanna bring my lunchboxes with me.
Soon and I'll report

Sorry for the delay in replying, but this has been sunch an intense week... Interest in our products has really surpased all our best expectations by far.
We are updating our website. Our adress is already there.

We will be implementing special phone numbers so you guys from the States and some european countries may call for cheap.

We are a spanish based company, registered in the EU. We manufacture all our products in house the old fashioned way, as you can see in the pictures.

Many thanks to you all for such a hot welcome!!!!

Is this REALLY going from $1600 to $2500 after the intro price? Thats unreasonable if you ask me. If Retro can come in under $1000 and Helios under $1600 in the 500 series...well...I guess that just says its not for me..

inductors and capacitors appear to be closer to originals

Well... not really, MSRP will be reached in steps. Anyway, sound, look and reliability, all at the same time, is not cheap....

Hi there folks !

I had the chance yesterday to hear side by side a 1073/500, a BAE 1073MP and a Neve 1073LB.
Against the 1073/500, the Neve LB sounded way more shiny and brighter !
In a sense the 1073/500 sounded matt and bigger and i would say "darker". In my humble opinion and with the two other persons who did the test, we shared the thought that this 1073/500 sounds like a vintage Neve.
We also agreed the BAE sounded quite the same but some of the high frequencies sounded a little bit brighter, with a thin layer of varnish. But both are very close...
It was just a preamp test by the way, no EQ.

Cheers !

All the active circuitry sees is a clean +24v PSU. Otherwise sound would not be the same.

1700$ is expensive for a 500, but it really doesn't even seem like a 500 series box. If the sound is right this pretty cheap

not is not! it's built like a 1073 module!

Neve 1073LBEQ (1295$) + Neve 1073LB (995$) = 2290$
you can't campare those with the 1073-500! The 1073LBEQ is totaly different from the vintage modules!

Are there plans for the 2264E to be formatted to the 500 series as well? Would this also be a three spacer?
