You guys seen this??

Apollo High-Resolution Interface with Realtime UAD Processing

It's a universal Audio Firewire/Thunderbolt interface. It looks the bomb but also looks to be a bit pricey!

DAM IT!! I'm selling my onyx and that is looking tasty.

I can feel my credit card slipping out again, I swear down it has a mind of it's own.

4 mic pre's and 8 line ins with 2 HiZ inputs. I found one on KMR for 2033 Euro. I've started saving already.

The 1176 style knobs sold it for me! :D Really though it looks like a perfect blend between pro and home studio gear. I gotta have it.

Literally just stumbled on this product about 5 minutes ago. This thing looks awesome. I was already looking at a UAD-2 to run plugins, but this has it built in. I'm tempted to sell most of my gear to pick up one of these babies!

It looks like this interface is just an excuse to sell a lot of plugins though. :(

Perhaps... though they are very good plugins, and to have them available for low latency tracking as well as mixdown is mighty intriguing. Plus the pres and converters make this a rather compelling package. Universal Audio may have hit a homer with this one

Of course if the conversion is as expected on par with their $$$$ converters like 2192, that I think it should, it will be worth it, but I see that they are very interested in giving you the platform to run their plugins because probably nowadays is the thing that brings more benefit...It is like buying a printer the $$$$ are in the ink.

Anyway, there is a long thread about Apollo here:
