If this has the same core audio path as their bigger monitor controller I will be very down for this... it's exactly what I have been looking for.
I just hope the speaker volume control is a stepped switch and not a quadgang pot.

Very cool indeed! But seem more for the portable gig! Still want the ST for the controller. But i can wait to hear more details about it. Might do the job I need in house too.

I checked that out yesterday. The person I talked to said that it would sell for under $1000. I think that may be their first product that sells below the $1k mark. Nice job, Dangerous

I really hope they make it stepped or offer a stepped volume pot as an option.

Chris sounded pretty stoked about the DAC in this thing when I talked to him a week ago as he was finishing the prototype. I own an ST/SR but I'm totally stoked to pick one of these up for my location gigs (I do around 100 location gigs a year). I can't wait to get my hands on this thing...

did they say just a rough number...? ( currently thinking about an ST working together with a Liaison but might not need all features of the ST and wait for the Source )

The volume is not stepped. The rep said the production knobs will probably not be so long.

You mean, like, to talk to other people in your studio?
You have other people in your studio?
This is not for you.

Bob had mentioned something about a little app for the iPhone that allows you to use your phone as a talk back plugged into the 1/8", but it wouldn't be hard to find a powered mic to plug into that input if you REALLY need talkback.

This thing's utility is not really meant to be what you build a whole studio
around.
The D-Box addresses your needs, I expect.

- c | It has two headphone outs so somebody else could be there.
If you do want a talkback ubk main gain is nicely priced and very portable. it just doesn't fit nicely under a macbook air.

- c | Well, as I said earlier, while I don't want to start an endless debate about this thing, it would be exactly what i'd need, if it had talkback. So meant to be or not, that's still a fact...
I'll check the other unit's specs, because i'm not familiar with it...
Peace!
