Just updated to the latest version of VC pro and NeyFi. I'm using this on a Win7 PT9 rig with a Eucon Control as my main controller. In the previous version of the VC app when I would use it as a remote record controller (my main need) i would always see the level of the track to be recorded in the fader window of that track, where there is vertical metering. With the new version I can't see any level metering on either input or when in record. It does record and I can see level and waveform if I use the V window, but I like the older and simpler way as well. Is it possible that there is some conflict with the Eucon?

if anyone could weigh in on this I'd appreciate it.

Just want to give thumbs up to Nyerinck support - I had some issues with the Multi Window option on my Win machine, and Paul skyped me within hours after I emailed him. Two days later I received a new beta version on ney-fi, which fixed the problem. What a great service!!!

Answering my own question...There is indeed a conflict when running Eucon (v 2.62) enabled in PT9 and V-Control Pro. No VCP metering is displayed in the main fader page for either Record in or even playback. When Eucon is disabled/unchecked in PT the metering returns to VCP. I've sent a report to the Neyrinck site in hopes of a resolve. All other functions co-exist it seems, but again my main desire is to use VCP as a remote record control device, since I still prefer hardware faders for other tasks.

Hello,

I just bought the V-Control Pro because I saw the demo video with ability to control the MIO Console (and Final Cut). It's not integrated in my version 1.5.0.16 of V-Control Pro?!

how can I get this version?!

Best regards

Again clarifying my post and confirming what great support Neyrinck provides. Paul posted an link to his extensive FAQ that identifies this condition as a T bug...no surprise there ;}= I'll just have to uncheck the Eucon when I'm in the record room and need remote recording functions.

Now all we need is 21" and 24" iPad's. It would look bitchin if you could have all faders in your session right there inserts and all. I'm considering this control set up eventually on a regular iPad.

Wow,

that's a great customer support. I sent Paul an email and got only minutes later the reply that the MIO Console update is coming ... looking forward to it. Great tool

Posted the same question over in the Computer forum, but thought I'd ask here as well.

I've got my main DAW which is a Macpro connected to WiFi through internet sharing with my iMac. The Macpro is now connected to the internet, and it seems to work just fine. However, in the V-Control computer settings, my Macpro doesn't come up as an option. The iMac shows up, and it works like a charm.., but doesn't do me much good.

Is there a way to get this working on the Macpro through internet sharing?

Can anyone post screenshots of subj in Studio One mode? I WTB iPad2 especially for this program, despite the absolutely inadequate price in Russia.

Thanks in advance!

is it also possible to use the v-window in cubase? if so is it possible to use multitouch for controlling different plugin controls at the same time? otherwise i don't see any improvement to using a mouse???

Any ideas on how much CPU this uses? Does it slow down PT 10 at all? I tried the free version and it seemed to be ok. Was a little laggy on the iPad itself, but I have the first-gen iPad - is it pretty quick on the latest iPad?

Has anyone tested V-Control with the new iPad? Any issues scaling up to the higher reolution?

Paul, are there plans for native support of the new screen?

V-Control looks great on the new iPad. The text on the buttons at the right side and the fader scale marks are crisper. We are working on updating the images to take advantage of the retina display.

Hi I've been trying to use the v-window but as soon as I open it it starts acting sluggish and doesn't work. My comp doesn't have bluetooth and I only have one wifi connection. If this doesn't work for me I want my money back.

I hate to dig up an old thread, but how does everyone like the V-control for automation? I currently don't own an ipad but if I can hear enough user reports of the automation, I think I'll be visiting the apple store. Other wise I think its the MCU Pro for me

Use it every day and love it. Sold my (extremely problematic) Euphonix MC Mix after trying V-Control.

HOWEVER - if you're usually working in one place, and have the budget for the MCU Pro, then that may be the preferable option. For a studio nomad like me, V-Control works like a dream.

I appreciate the reply. Do you ever find yourself having to go back and re-write the automation because of the latency?

V Control on the iPad would work better because while I can get the MCU Pro, I'll also have an iPad that I can take with me on the go. Plus with Garage band coming to the iPad, I can create rough arrangements on the go.
