as of today, Sweetwater still says "Notify me when it's available"

I love the idea of this piece. But why red? Neutral colors please!

Anyone tried this?

This looks like it'll fit my needs well. I'm also really concerned about the key action. Still looking for a midi controller with good reliable key action to equal or attempt my SY77's so I can stop lugging it to gigs as a midi controller... Anyone tried it yet?

The red and the touch faders are probably to attract the hiphop users of MPK49. But me no expert.

I'm totally new to controllers and I have to decide if I should get Max49 or Impulse49.

Don't any of you think the touch faders only might not be enough? Every fader and knob is now those 8 touch strips. Makes me feel kind of cheated, considering the price.

Max49 is coming out on August 20th, local store told me they should have it by end of August! Help me decide!

Did you try Cakewalk A-300? Roland says it has the exact same keybed from Roland synths. I guess it should be what you want.

I'd really like to know how the keyboard action on the MAX49 is.

Anyone?
It's kind of stiff. I think they say "semi-weighted" in their marketing materials and that feels about right to me. Personally I prefer a pure synth action (light touch) but I have brittle old man hands

It's not clicky at all, if that's what you're getting at. Silent and springy. Build quality feels very good on the unit overall. The keys and pads are great. The buttons are a little cheap to me, and the sliders are kind of weird as they have a rough finish. I would have preferred them to have a smoother "travel".

There is no Logic-specific support at all. You set it up as a Mackie Control in Logic. You can control the transport (stop/start/record) and basic mixer functions (volume, pan, i think send levels). No integration whatsoever for AU or Logic plugs.

Has anyone gotten there hands on one of these controllers yet? I'm interested to know how much better the pads are then the mpk series. Are they closer to the sensitivity of the Maschine or do you still have to smash them to get them to register values? And are the keys still as stiff as the mpk line or do they feel a little nicer like the marketing videos say they do?
