Software

Platinum Samples is excited to announce the immediate release of their Rock Legends QuickPack for BFD2 & BFD Eco. The QuickPack features a 125th Anniversary Limited Edition Rock Legend Gretsch kit recorded by Grammy nominated recording engineer Rail Jon Rogut (Ry Cooder, Meshell Ndegeocello, Michael Jackson). Limited to a production of only 125 kits worldwide the Rock Legend kit is a true collector's item. Formatted for Fxpansion BFD2 and BFD Eco the QuickPack includes 25 presets in different genres.

Tracked by Rail on a classic Neve 80-series console, the kit includes 1 Kick, 1 Snare, 2 rack Toms , 2 floor Toms, a Crash Cymbal, a China Cymbal, a Ride Cymbal and a Hihat. The Overheads were recorded using 2 Telefunken ELA M 251's while the rack Toms were tracked with AKG C12A's. Telefunken ELA M 251's were also used on the two floor Toms. A pair of Neumann M49 were used on the Stereo Rooms and in BFD2 the Amb3 channel features a Mono Room which was an EV666 extremely compressed through a Fairchild 670 two channel compressor.

Available for immediate download the Rock Legends QuickPack is available now at www.platinumsamples.com for $59.99

Also available from Platinum Samples is Joe Barresi's Evil Drums, Andy Johns' Classic Drums, Jim Scott's Rock Drums and MIDI Grooves formatted for BFD and other drum VI's featuring famous drummers like Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers) and Brooks Wackerman (Bad Religion).

Cheers,

Rail

Thumbs up

Really great sounding drums, I can't understand why there is so little fuss about this expansion...
Bought these couple months ago and still use it in pretty much every single project.
The best thing about this library is flexibility. It sounds and feels very natural, so with some mixing I can fit them into any song I want, ranging from folk to metal.
I have almost every single drum library ever released but these are by far best value and probably sound of all

Last project had tiny, bad recorded drums with unutterable amount of bleed
They were basically unusable.
However, I made midi track for kick, snare and toms, carefully aligned it to transients and vuolia! After some mixing, drums sounded huge!

Here is the project mixerlt: stormy day - robert semeniuk

All that I used was original overhead track and a little bit of snare track to give drums some original breath and imperfections.
