Dont know how good or bad this plugin is and really I don't care. I'll never buy another DUY product due to their lack of (really non-existent) customer service.. I've emailed 4-5x, i've called 2-3x and left messages each time, plus i opened 2 cases on their website regarding my issue and ive heard nothing.. eventually i gave up and its been at least 8months since i first contacted them about a product ive already paid for.

Do a search about this company before you waste a dime on any of their products.

seems to sound quite nice with the "analog mode" ( simple soft sat ?? ).
but come on, try boosting 1k, and you are actually boosting 2k and so on...I know we are supposed to listen with our ears and not our eyes , but this is quite strange ...
I had hard time to come close to what it did on a drum loop with logic channel eq, only to suddenly hear what seems to be a rather strange frequency choices ..

Actually after looking at it i would highly recommend DMG Equality which does everything this claims to plus more and it has a better analyzer. Only thing DMG doesn't do (i believe) is saturate but by now i'm sure everybody has a few saturation plugins they like anyways.

Also check out the Waves H-EQ.

After looking at it? Not trying it? Great advice

DUY- I don't trust companies that disappear and leave people hanging.

Agreed, it just seemed like the comment was not relevant to what was being discussed. More like an unnecessary barb. All good though, music trumps tools every time!

Yeah generally not the best way to evaluate gear and i imagine i could be wrong but having used enough eq's that I'm pretty confident in my recommendation. Even taking my bias out of it DMG makes great eq's!

The most recent i tried to contact them was about 3 months ago. If you like the product then you like the product, just take my words as a heads up to know what you're possibly getting yourself into. Not sure about the Magic Spectum but as far as straight EQ's go there are lots of great options some even for less money

Sound very good for me ! near my actual setup (UAD EQ`s + tube saturator) . but the cosum are 5 more times whith (UAD EQ`s + tube saturator)

need to test more but some tubes presets test of duy EQ got too much distortion, if you add only one fraction of this button

and got some latency too

In the second scout, I do not like it so much ,The distortion is very accused in all his shaped analogical all my NEVE EQ´s UAD stuff sound more rich in harmonic analogical and more in your face, more magic into

but sound a litlle better tham others arid digita eq´s like PSP NEON MIX or DMG audio EQUALITY

Angry

I read all your warnings but bought the plugin anyway after very much liking the demo and using it on a couple of mixes on which I don't care to redo all the eq with a different plugin. Five days later I am still waiting for DUY to deposit the asset into my ilok account and I've opened two tickets and written 2 e-mails. No response. I check my ilok account compulsively to see if it has shown up. It's a really nice plugin, but this is not cool. It leaves me with this anxiety that they will never deposit the asset and never respond. Frustrating! Anyway, any advice? (after ignoring the advice not to buy it in the first place :-)). It is a good product, imho, but geez.

I have had issues with DUY in the past and Xavier eventually came through for me, but I've sent several emails and tickets in the last 6 months and I am yet to get a response. I haven't been able to use my DUY plugins since then and I was a pretty early adopter of their plugins.

Caveat emptor

If you payed by credit card or paypal file a dispute to reverse the charges. That will get their attention. There's so many other good equivalent and better plugins out today there is no reason to deal with DUY's poor customer service.
