Beesneez Microphones Oliver Studio Series

Today’s modern recording industry is in the face of change. Many labels are turning to more cost effective means of providing musical content for the industry ie; lower budget albums and more bang for buck scenario’s.

This change in the industry coupled with more cost effective professional Audio Equipment has lead to an explosion of Mid sized professional facilities, Project Studio’s and Pre-production professional recording spaces. More venues equal a higher level of competition and the need to maintain low cost high-level results.

The BeesNeez Microphones Studio Series Oliver meets the needs of the modern cost cautious facility without compromising on sound or build quality.

The Oliver is a Side Address Multi Pattern Tube Condenser Microphone. In the Oliver we have used the same high quality components such as; NOS Raytheon Vacuum Tube, BeesNeez K47d capsule and Cinemag Transformer. Our Studio Series Microphones are manufactured and assembled In our Australian Factory (including the bodies too).

Over the years, two microphone sounds have by far become the most popular; the U47 sound and the C12 sound. Let’s face it; once a benchmark is set, it remains a staple for a very long time.

The Oliver has been designed to possess all the charm and grace of the U47 without the 10,000.00 – 20,000.00USD price tag. Natural highs, slightly mid forward and a very defined bottom end that captures with ease any source. The Oliver has 9 polar patterns, and no inbuilt EQ circuit is needed, just pure class A beauty that is analogous in its capture.

The Oliver retails at AUD$999.00 and has no equal in regards to build or sound quality.

Try one at your favourite dealer today with an introductory price of $799 AUD till the end of December.

Don't forget to LIKE our facebook page, where we can keep you up to date.

Cheers,

Ah very cool! So I took a look at proaudiotoys, and they have the price at $999. Does this account for the exchange rate, or would we pay $799 USD for the mic in the USA?

Hi, the Oliver is less forward in the mids and follows more closely in the U47 vein.

By the way, our newest son is named Oliver. I think he was released right about the same time as the microphone.

Here's Oliver at 3 days old:

I have a new Oliver too. I'm thinking it's a sign that I should purchase one of these.

Is there any "I named my son Oliver" discounts?

Congrats on your little man. Maybe it is a sign, lol. At $799, he is a bargain, will not keep you up (unless you want him to), if he is dirty a gentle clean is all thats required yet i suggest not bathing and if he wants to bring home a girl friend called Shelise or Isobel i am sure they will be a perfect match.

Cheers,
Veronica

I'm hoping I can find somewhere to try your mics in the UK. Do you have distribution or retail partners up here?

Hi, at the moment we do not have UK distribution, you have two options you can contact us directly or contact our German distributor Digital Audio Service (DAS) who have most of our mics in stock at all times and they are a great bunch of guys to work with.

Veronica

I love the handcrafted look of the new mics. So much cooler than the bulk china bodies and you managed to keep the cost down. Absolutely brilliant move, respect!

Does this mic have the option of the K7 capsule as well? What would the price difference be? Thanks.

Thanks Tim, needed to hear that tonight, we are exhausted from a busy few weeks. Good thing that we love what we do

We have some sound samples for those that are waiting, now i just need to hold Ben down and get him to upload them. Sadly technology and I don't work well together.

Cheers, Veronica

Agreed, it took a lot of planning, but the finished result is just what we wanted to achieve. All the feedback from our customers has been great, so we are happy. The bodies are strong and they will be mics that will take a lot of use.

Thanks for your kind words, it can be a lot of work to bring a product to the table that is different and it is good to hear what people think.

Cheers,
Veronica

Sorry to be that guy, but is it possible to unscrew the badge from the front of your mics? Im sure they sound great, but i am not a fan of the enormous logo.

I find it surprisingly that several people hold this opinion. I just love the badge. The large size has an old school aesthetic that I dig.

The badge is cool stuff - however, not really cool to ask about taking it off.

If you gotta do it, then do it in private

Aesthetics is of course, by definition, a matter of taste.

So when someone called 'spandex man' offers his stylistic opinion, well....

Personally, I think this mic (at it's current price) is one heck of an exciting product release. Considering the craftsmanship and components...goodness!

Now, where did I put my spandex....?

I have just found myself looking for the LIKE button for these reply's Nevermind thanks guys.

Spandex man, i understand that not everything will appeal to everyone, but i am sure that once you have heard the mic that you are not going to care about the badge, it just rocks. If you get the chance to meet Ben you will also understand why the badge suits out mics. Ben is not a small guy and some might even say a little loud So the badge should be such a small consideration in your buying options, because you are getting amazing sound, quality and price.

Anyway I am off to make some of these babies, have a great days guys and i will try to get the big fella to get those samples up later today.

Cheers to all,
Veronica

Just my opinion guys, not trying to start a war. I though the old one was nice, the new one looks too (ironically) '80s rock.

Veronica, i understand what you're saying, but when there are so many U47, C12, etc clones on the market these days which im sure all sound great, im going to pick the pretty one.

Good luck with the new mic, i look forward to hearing one if it crosses my path.

Troy
