Doh. I am pulling the background image from a local file, not from the built in resources. Easy fixed, gimme a minute to upload the new binary.

I'm happy just earning enough to keep my family housed and fed and me funded enough so I can keep on being a geek making stuff I think it cool |

I'm really liking it. Have already inspired me to enhance some of the tracks I'm working on. Let the studio time begin!

I take it as a good thing that everyone (ok Mac people at least) are busy playing with The Drop to make too many comments.
I've updated the list of known issues / missing features on the web page, probably the biggest one is some visual indication of the lfo / env1 / env2 / fm / midi levels and activity. Please let me know if there is anything I should add or if you have any suggestions: The Drop Public Beta Ready | Cytomic |

Is there a way to modulate resonance separately from freq? I'm trying to get my mind around the routing abilities.

Hey Andy,
Thanks for the beta, it's sounding GREAT and AU is working in Reaper 64 bit so far. Buying asap.
Would it be possible to add the feature where a modifier key + left clicking reset knobs/values to a default position where applicable (i.e. Pre and Post gain, HP and LP etc.)?
The whole routing layout seems incredibly powerful, need to experiment with it a lot more and try to make some sense of it. On a fully related topic, is there anything resembling a written guide at this point for us less tech-literate?
Thanks again!
Sven

Heres a quick dirty repeating loop style mess about with The Drop filtering just the 7th tech style chord created in Omnispshere. Just grabbing knobs and tweaking on the fly so goes a bit random in parts . Really inspired me in the hour or so I've being trying it out
Bass - Moog Minitaur
Beats - Battery and WaveAlchemy one shots and a small loop
Loving the way it spaces out across the stereo field and really grooves along, goes insane if you want too, Awesome plugin Andy!!!
To add - I had Oversampling turned OFF doing this as well I realise now I've bounced it.

Sven | +1 on the knobs reset
@ Digital 1010:

This is fantastic. Just messing around with it on a drum loop for a bit and noticing that the filters are more lively than anything I currently use. And this may be the first digital plugin with drive that I don't even miss the oversampling when it's not enabled.
Happy The Drop day everyone!

congrats on making a really fantastic sounding filter plug in.
working fine here 32bit OSX 10.7.4 Logic 9.1.7
it really does sound very very nice. the filter drive, resonance, and freq response/behavior etc of the filters is great. well done. can't wait to hear what other filter types will mena for this puppy.
the modulation section is clear, obvious and funky.. though i wish it had another LFO and more routing options. but by no means a deal breaker. it's damn funky as it is.. but ya know.. more is better.. i heard that somewhere.
anyway- congrats on launching the beta.. can't wait for the full version!

Very cool stuff indeed ....don't know if it's there but is there any way to sync up the lfo rate so it moves like 1/2..1/4..8th..16th , as opposed to just Hz ?

The Lfo Rate knob still shows Hz values when Sync is enabled instead of showing the quantized Beat amounts

Here is a small test with just an instance of Omnisphere.
Omnispshere 1 layer OB8 RAW PWM FAST and some unison added. No filtering or modulation just holding a chord and the raw sound (edit - forgot there is a a touch of Hall reverb on a send).
All the movement in sound is the DROP modulating the LP into the LFO and adjusting LFO parameters like spacing, rate, Mult etc
I need to map the plugin properly in automap so i can go tweak mad and not mouse mad.
Ben
