It's been out for a while at this point. (couple years later)

The brass in the demos on their page is pretty bad.

I'm not a fan either.

I love their Moog and other synth emulators, but the brass demos kept me far away. Maybe it would be much more useful if it had been programmed better...?

I don't think you'll find many fans. Or people who bought it. I did though, and every once in a while, I use it for a trumpetty thingy that just can't be done any other way (unless you have a real player on stand-by). Here's a little example: ReBop.

Just don't use it as an "all-in-one" Brass-plugin; it's quite nice
for layering real brass instruments!
It's pretty much the same as the Synful-plugin: thin sounding, not realistic,
but combined with sample-libraries, or real played strings, it sounds killer!

I thought it meant to be the beginning of a revolution in modeling technology.

I think that the melodyne thing might be the future for this kind of work. I use "Liquid instruments" for horns. Although playing your own parts envolves lots of editing, the results are "real". I can see lots of room for exciting future developement also.
