Softube TSAR-1 True Stereo Algorithmic Reverb

New reverb from the folks at Softube!

Quote:
Based on a “best of the best” list of vintage classic reverbs, and sprinkled with a taste of modern high end units and a heaping spoonful of Softube’s own mojo, the TSAR-1 brings affordable pro-quality algorithmic environmental processing to Native platforms (Mac/PC; VST/AU/RTAS); approximate street price: $299.99.
A nice addition to the reverb market by Softube.

I believe demos will be available starting tomorrow.

That's a pretty amazing price if it's anywhere near the quality of the lexicon PCM native stuff. Time to save my pennies.

Innnntttteerrrreeesssttttiiiinnnnggggg....

Some of the parameters are very Lexiconish (Diffusion, Density), while others seem more unique (the Early Reflection/reverb mix).

It is a very exciting time for algorithmic reverbs!!!!!

Softube TSAR-1 True Algorithmic Stereo Reverb

I have been told I have too many reverbs. That might now be the truth.

I almost said the exact same thing... no hype, no buildup, no public beta. Just another (probably) killer plugin with amazing graphics from (IMO) the best plugin company out there right now.

I think it works because they release so many plugins. Which also is a great thing about their release style. it's often!

"Best of the best..." Could this be the ONLY reverb we'd need? A few splashes from each of the reverb big dogs?

Can you imagine - your favorites from every box, all under one umbrella? Pipe dream until we see/hear proof. I like the idea though.

I don't believe this is capable of covering that kind of ground.. It is based on a single algorithm and that is a lot to ask of one algorithm. Should be a very good sounding plugin nonetheless.

TSAR-1 is based on an exceptionally powerful proprietary algorithm developed by Softube to deliver the sonic quality and versaility of the great algorithmic hardware reverbs.

This thing rocks. Seriously. It does a great job of realistic spaces as well as spacey effects. The control set makes dialing things in a breeze, and the high/low frequency accentuation combined with the high cut filter can make things very interesting. These guys must not get much sleep.....

I really don't like the 3dness of it, seems gimmcky. But let's see how she sounds. Seems a bit more pressure on Relab to release their fabled ilok2 LX80 full version, in the meantime losing marketshare to stuff like this.

You mean the GUI? It doesn't look quite like that - that is a concept shot I believe. The plugin GUI is sick, as is the sound. Well worth checking out.
