Thanks, I guess I'd just feel better with the real thing, especially with progression to 64 bit, etc.

Look on the bright side, now this thread can be used for "inviting developers to discuss (pledge) their release criteria, and expose the posts to current and future scrutiny."

Seriously though, newcomers should probably read this first:

Oh yeah
Let's go green and recycle the thread instead of starting a new one.

I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who appreciate the dedicated DSP.
dsp sounds a bit better.

In the demo of the x-eq the frequency bands were turned ON automatically when opening the plug. Now that a coughed up the dough and got it installed, the freq bands are turned OFF. No everytime i open it on a channel, i have to click on all the frequency bands. This is a huge workflow offence for me.
Does anyone know if this will be fixed, or what i can do about it??

Do you also have problems with the levels? Especially the x-comp, the input meter is all the way up in the red, with only soft levels coming in.
When i adjust the output levels, and bypass the x-comp, BOOOOOMMMMM

Mine aways has bands off, never noticed it before. It hasn't annoyed me but it sure is the kind of the thing that would annoy me

If you load the "Reset" preset that will turn all of the bands on.

I gotta say the SSL Duende Native plugs sound fantastic. The X-EQ is the smoothest EQ plugin I've heard. THe Drumstrip is a revolutionary package. The Buss Comp is what you would hope for and expect. THe X-comp is very smooth and has some extra cool features. The channel strip has most everything you would want in a channel strip and sounds great. The X-verb is very warm and smooth. Feels like there is a expensive box connected to my DAW. What is especially amazing is that these top quality plugins use VERY LITTLE DSP and they are 64 bit AND VST 3. Even the X-Verb uses less than my efficient Altiverb 6. THese were the highlights for me. Your milage may vary. Worth the download to audition for sure.

SSL Bus Compressor

The Threshold

In the gui we see that the threshold goes from +20 to -20 but in reality it is 0 to -80, everytime we adjust the threshold knob we need to take the displayed value & times it by 2, so setting the threshold to +10 is in fact setting the threshold to -20 and so on. With this in mind I did a compressor comparison between SSL Bus Comp, Cytomic The Glue & DMG Audio Compasion & I found that the SSL Bus Comp has the best dynamic of them all.
Is this correct ?

Ya I thought so, 0 -> +20 is an expander & 0 -> -20 is a compressor right ?

What? Are you talking about the threshold control of the bus comp?

It looks like the 4.0.6 (Native 64bit/ RTAS) release has finally arrived: Solid State Logic | Support

Thanks to a post by E.rOk.stA in another thread - otherwise I would have not know...
