Is this using the same tech from the Redline preamp? I liked the reverb, but the preamp didn't do much for me....

Nah, we're not that cheap! The character from both the "character" limiting and its Drive section are entirely 100% unrelated to anything we've done so far. Why re-use a wheel if you can also reinvent it?

sadly all the prices have gone up from what is listed in reviews etc.

ie. Redline preamp was listed at $99 in reviews but is now $149.00

Redline monitor, which used to $69 is now $99.

Not at all. We have a policy of doing introductory prices (usually about 33% off) for the first 3 months after a plugin release, after which the regular price--$149 for Preamp, etc--applies. This is clearly indicated in all advertisements on our site, our online store, and any press releases we send out. If a review fails to mention that you should blame the reviewer.

We have never raised the price of any of our plugins and have no intention to do so either.

I'm on the 112dB beta team and I've been testing it for a few months now.
WOW - That's all I have to say.

You can find it (in some way or another) on every rock track I mix, and in a bit of mastering too.

Seriously amazing stuff. Get the demo and hear for yourself.
Have fun!

Enjoying it so far, stays on my masterbus

It's good.. It helps me get a next step of shine on the song, giving it more life... but if I over do it, it gets nasty nasty tasty and it's an effect on it's own... like a dirty sidechain squishing your mixes... and I say that in a good way..

Heck it even brings shine to other tracks so it's good on the master bus for djing..

Plus the 60 day trial is a fantastic policy..

I am impressed. First i thought, who needs another limiter??, but this is a nice sounding beast. Somekind of tube-preamp with a very gentle sounding limiter. I used it very successfully on accoustic guitar, bass and voice so far.

This is a sweet limiter. not what I was expecting at all. You can do the mental 1176 drum-buss spanking, but....different. Almost like a cross between a 1176, 33609, TG1 and an Obsidian! Nice work indeed.

Swallowed up by Slate hype. I admit they got me as well... for reasons completely independent of the sound quality, I just didn't take it as seriously as FG-X. And now my demo is expired :(

I'm sure they'll give an extension if you ask nicely--most companies do, even though it's 60 days to begin with

Have a few days off finally. Used this on mixbus after the mpressor plugin (which i tried for first time today as well- amazing comp plugin). The combination w/ Big Blue gave me more than what I was getting with waves ssl comp and sonnox limiter.

Dang, this kid doesn't play nice at all (in a good way) on a drum buss. Seriously good stuff here...

I dunno, it definitely has those flavours in it. I tried it on a drum buss and was shocked. I don't think I could bring myself to use in on the 2 buss, except for maybe the input gain.

My thoughts exactly. I'll give it a go on the master buss just out of curiosity though...
