Thread Starter | "Audiophile-Grade" Interconnect For Car Audio Released
Pear Cable Enters High Fidelity Car Audio With The Comice Silver Interconnect October, 30 2005 -- Pear Cable Corporation announces its entrance into the high fidelity car audio market with the introduction of a category leading product called the Comice Silver Interconnect. Designed to be the most technologically advanced car audio cable in the world, the Comice Silver Interconnect represents a leap forward in the performance of car audio cables. The Comice Silver Interconnect is the world's first car audio cable to feature TRIBODead(TM), a technology that virtually eliminates triboelectric noise, a major cause of sonic damage in car audio. Beyond noise reduction, the solid silver conductors and low capacitance cable design help bring "audiophile-grade" sound quality to car audio. While high fidelity audio cables have become recognized as a necessity in home audio, car audio cables remain an often overlooked component of car sound. Dramatic improvements in sound quality, made possible by utilizing high fidelity car audio cables, can bring a mobile entertainment system to life. Pricing and Availability Comice Silver Interconnect cables start at $125 for a 0.5 meter pair and go up to $675 for a 6.0 meter pair. Available immediately, cables can be purchased from Pear Cable directly, or from an authorized Pear Cable dealer. Yeah, because the cables are always the weakest link in car audio. |

Cables are highly important in car audio. I think maybe more important than cables in a studio are. I used to install car audios, and when building my system I compared some cheap cables to the one's I would up installing, and there was a huge difference. The competition circuit (who these cables will be appealing to) is quite intense with their standards. It's really hard to place first in a show. Imagine setting up a system in a car to reproduce quality on par with recording studio set-up's in terms of imaging and freq response. Without proper cables, your system won't respond like it should. tisk tisk. These pear cables seem like they could be a bit overboard though. It would be interesting to do a test.
