Drum Tools 01 – High-End Drum Library Produced With Exotic Outboard Gear...

After many months of creative sound design and sonic manipulation we are extremely proud to announce the release of our first Drum Tools library!

Drum Tools 01 by Wave Alchemy provides over 1950 exquisitely produced electronic drum samples. All sounds in the collection have been built from the ground up using a vast array of analogue circuitry and exclusive high-end outboard gear. Great care has been taken to capture the tone / vibe and warmth of the equipment used and all sample editing and file naming has been done by hand for maximum precision.

The drum samples in Drum Tools 01 have been created by the creative layering and processing of drum machines, synthesizers / modulars, field recordings and the recording of live drum and percussive instruments.

To give you an idea of the high quality to expect, we giving away 150 free samples taken directly from the Drum Tools 01 library. You can grab these here:

As I said in your other thread I think these samples are really great. I am using them on a remix I'm working on ATM and they completely blow away the Vengeance samples I usually use.

Keep it up

ex⋅ot⋅ic

[ig-zot-ik] Show IPA –adjective
1.
of foreign origin or character; not native; introduced from abroad, but not fully naturalized or acclimatized: exotic foods; exotic plants.
2.
strikingly unusual or strange in effect or appearance: an exotic hairstyle.
3.
of a uniquely new or experimental nature: exotic weapons.
4.
of, pertaining to, or involving stripteasing: the exotic clubs where strippers are featured.

Personally, I think the branding of your samples as created with
"exotic outboard gear" is a bit disingenuous and misleading.
"Professional", "Broadcast quality": sure, I can see that.
But not exotic by any stretch of the imagination.
Branding is one of those tricky things where you want people to check out your wares,
but you don't want to make people feel lied to.
That's how I felt when I read the list of both drum machines and outboard.

Now, if you bought that outboard either at a strip-club or from guitar center overseas,
then you could make a semantic argument that these samples, were indeed, recorded using "exotic" gear.

Just one asshole's opinion that wasn't asked for.

Get over it, Stitch-- it's just marketing.

Personally, I think these sound amazing. You guys are providing really high quality samples, at reasonable rates, with a generous amount of samples in the demo pack. I like your business model, and I'm really, really impressed!

1) I wasn't talking to you.
2) My critique was to a flawed business model in an overly competitive and saturated market. Instead of just kissin' someones ass, why don't you open your eyes to the bigger picture give some input that someone can actually use to improve their product. Oh, that's right, you are "really, really impressed!"
3) People pay for, and make money with, my advice.
4) and who are you again, anyways?

To the original poster: good luck!

Stitch333,

In hindsight I admit that "Exotic" isn't the best of wording to describe the actual gear used.

I'm not a marketing expert by any means. I produce music and design sounds. Me and Steve are a two man band and do all production, marketing and advertising ourselves.

Sorry if I offended you

Please feel free to give any feedback on the samples if you find time to have a listen. thumbsup
