New set of FREE Loops from drummer Scott Rockenfield at LoopLibrary.com

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

You've all been so helpful to me over the years, I decided to put together a big package of 40 free drum loops and samples from Queensryche Drummer Scott Rockenfield on my little LoopLibrary.com web site. Just in time for Christmas!

They are totally free. Nothing to buy. No mailing lists to sign up for. Instant downloads, and a great way to see how my little loop site works!

Just check out the Free Loops Page on the site. There are a couple of older sets of free loops there as well.

Also new on the site is the complete collection of Scott Rockenfield drum loops and samples. Definitely worth checking out!

I'm always looking for talented producers to contribute material to the site (it's mostly just myself so far), so, if you think you have some high quality material you want to publish on the LoopLibrary.com web site, just hit me up through the site.

Thanks again for all your support over the years! I love this site!

Don't you think the singer, in your avatar, would benefit from stepping back from the mic and also plugging the mic into something?

Firstly, thankyou!

Secondly, when you say:

Its not really instant and you do have to give over information about where you live, give your email address and get a password. Not that thats really an issue, but I thought at first perhaps I was doing something wrong..

cheers

Yes, I'm not a programmer, and I'm using purchased software to run my little site (just me, not some huge company), so I can't change the way it works. You at least have to give a real e-mail address to get the password, but you can make up whatever you want for the other fields if you're just doing the free downloads.

I don't maintain a mailing list (too busy to do any kind of newsletters or whatever), and I don't share the information with anybody else. But, if you don't like sharing a real e-mail address, you can always use one of those free e-mail services just for this type of thing.

I could always just post the files on an HTML page for people to download directly. I used to do that a long time ago, but then my bandwidth usage went through the roof and cost too much. This little bit of extra "trouble" to get the free loops now helps keep the bandwidth usage under control. Plus, it's also a good way to test out the system before you make a purchase, since some e-mail providers don't like the automatically generated e-mails from my site for some reason.

Enjoy the free loops!

Thanks for the free samples.. to be honest though.. the large licensing agreement has me scared to even bother downloading them. I don't speak legalese I just want to use the samples..

Is Uncle Guito going to come after my kneecaps (and wallet) if I use some of these samples in a song and the song becomes somehow magically popular (i.e. 'worth money') ?

Gotta love lawyers, right?

You ask them to put together a "simple" licensing agreement, and that's what I got. However, at least there is the simplified language at top that basically explains in relatively plain English what you can and can not do. The legal part is just complicated by the fact that I also sell production music from various composers on the site, in addition to the loops and samples, and my lawyer is doing his job of making sure my butt is covered.

But, yes, you can use the loops in commercially released music, and you will never owe any money, no matter how popular the song gets.

These are great loops.
I did two complete albums using the full set back in 04-06.

Can you tell me what problems you were having? Lots of others have been downloading them without any problems.

Are you going through the checkout process and then not receiving your password via e-mail? Some free e-mail accounts like to block automated e-mails from my server for some unknown reason, so check your spam or junk folders (or sometimes it's just totally blocked and not even in there).

If you are still having problems, e-mail me from my contact page on the site and let me know, and then I'll e-mail you a "gift" from the store software with a link to the download page and a password, and you won't have to go through the checkout process, if somehow that's what's going wrong when you try to do it.

I can't just post a direct link without uploading the file again to another location on the server accessible through the web. The software I use encrypts the files after they are put into the system, in a non-web accessible directory, and there is no way to make a direct link. The downloads and passwords are unique for each customer and expire after 3 downloads or 2 days (whichever comes first).

Sorry for the troubles.

Thanks for the loops... D/L'd fine here. I did buy three times to get that one in all three formats. I only use samples and loops for testing these days, so I try to grab the good freebies. I'll pass along your info, though.

I appreciate it! Thanks!

I'm just a one man show here, and don't do any advertising or much in the way of promotion, so good words from others is very helpful!
