Why exactly should I use a discontinued, lousy Quicktime component to play VC-1 video on Mac OS X?
1. Mac OS does not equal video decoder/player software, and claiming video playback capabilities have anything to do with the operating system is nonsense.
2. VLC plays 1080p VC-1 video perfectly on Apple computers/operating systems
3. I guess that since your "format" binds users to specific third party decoders and demuxers, you can't possibly offer proper decoding to your users and so blaming an operating system is so much easier.

Sure there is. Apple does not want to pay royalties to a competitor.

Like I said, VLC works perfectly and that includes 25mbps, and so does MPlayer OSX Extended.
As for your continued throwing of unrelated "statistics" ("3D" videos and filter glasses are decades old, by the way), good luck with that. It can't get more ridiculous. Even though you're quite good at it, in the end nothing you say is really going to divert people's attention from the real matter: your "format" perfectly represents a complete failure of understanding market trends. I'm sorry that your work is going down the drain, but you brought it on yourself from the very beginning.

Avatar's budget is close to 500 million dollars. It's the most expensive film ever. I would guess a sizable amount of that budget was spent on massive promotion. You're talking about it like it was some small indie production...

If you think the average facebook user is going to want this, I think you've got a very rude awakening coming.

You'd have better luck selling it to their parents.
