+1 on the website. You lost me after the first paragraph.

I did skip through and eventually found the price. I think what you are offering is maybe overpriced when you can buy excellent drum sounds already for a lot cheaper such as the goldbaby collections and the new wave alchemy one.

Just my 0.02$

Hmmm...

Ok the web site is just bad...I did read through it all...one big long multiple paragraph page...ouch.

OK so beyond that, it is not a bad concept, and actually I do not see the price as out of line at all if they sound as good as the uber-hype machine on the site wants you to believe.

$87 for Softsample versions
$77 for Hardware samplers

Not bad, and good luck to you!

Someone, please, hit the "Wrap It Up!" box. Horrible website. A novel written for a subject which deserves a couple paragraphs at most.

No thanks.

Lol.

Thanks everyone : )

First webpage.

I wanted to tell the whole story in a fun and light way.

I spent 10 months recording, editing,
and tuning the library.

I think the price is fair. It's more of a
indy designer type collection for people who
love new drum sounds.

I sold my first remix at the age of 17 for $100. It's
easy to make the cost back.

The LM-1 cost $4,000 in 80s dollars. Probably
the best $4,000 Prince ever spent.

There's a ton of equipment, not just drum machines.

Haven't heard the Wave Alchemy yet. Looking forward to it.

Love the GoldBaby stuff I've purchased.

This is a different type of collection. They'd gel well together though.

Other's opinions may vary.

Check the free sounds. I left headroom intentionally, but they
are all 24bit.

cheers-

Nathaniel

Thanks for the feedback.

Interesting it came across that way. Not my intention at
all.

I actually tried to downplay my role and emphasize the
role of the amazing equipment I discovered here.

The Gearslutz community played an important role in the
selection of the gear I purchased, so I told that story.

One of my first posts was looking for a cool device to
warm up soft synths. Someone pointed me to the
Thermionic Culture Vulture and it changed my
musical life.

So I literally got so excited that I withdrew my entire
retirement account and bought a ton of gear. I was
unemployed and just had a baby girl, so I spent 10
months sampling and editing.

Rather fun.

cheers-

Umm, since you're selling your sample collections for $77 and $87, you might want to state that instead of using the $28,587 number. Just a guess, but I think you'll find more customers at your actual prices.

That's what I spent on equipment.

Not the cost of the library.

Thanks. Good call on Wix. I'll check it out.

Promised the family we'll be going trick or treating today. But I'll get on a new site.

And here I was so proud to have it finally completed.

Try the demo sounds. The processing of the Tubes, Tape, and Preamps
really did add a unique punch and texture to the sound.

I've been an electronic music producer for 15 years... and a website designer
for a week

back to the drawing board on that.

Glad to have the feedback before the major launch on November 7th.

thanks!

Looking forward to checking out the free sounds. Thats a mighty impressive processing kit list there! Nice one for spending so much time putting this together.....must have been a real labour of love

Did you use a nicely tuned room to match the mighty kit list????

Cheers,

Myles

It's pretty well tuned. GIK Corner Traps. Bass traps on the walls.

Yes, have someone else design a website for you. It needs to be sweet and to the point, it took me ten minutes of reading to get to how to buy and how much, that needs to be stated immediately or accessed after a short few paragraphs. Put the ordering info on a separate page that can be clicked immediately, that should help drive sales a bit. Put up a player too with your free samples so I can hear them right away without having to download, etc

Speaking of which, I tried to open your free download to hear how they sounded and it wants a password to extract everything from the zip, I couldn't find any way to get a password on your site. Any thoughts?

I've trimmed the site to what I feel is
the most relevant information.

I stand by everything %100.

I don't know ANY drum sample content
creator that is offering what I am with
a 30 day no questions asked refund
policy.

I want to treat people that way I'd like
to be treated.

Audio demos of tracks will be posted soon.

If anyone else is having an issue with the
free demo, let me know. I cannot replicate
the issue. I didn't use any password creating
the demo.

I'm making it available to people without
any obligation to opt in on a mailing list,
another rarity.

I've included Kontakt and EXS-24 kits along with
24 Bit single hits.

Time to go dress up as THE DUDE and go
trick or treating.

best,

Nathaniel

Entrainer's been working VERY HARD on this library for a long time. He has maintained a very high sonic standard and attention to detail in the process. I have been QC-ing the Kontakt files for Mac. You guys are in for a treat.

Like a lot of dedicated, passionate craftspeople, he's not a marketing dude. He's mainly concerned with the product. Content. This much is clear from this thread.

He's talking to web designers right now and will shortly return with a stylish site that fits the stylishness of the product. Hang on, folks. A simple, dope, easy-to-grasp site is on its way.

The actual library itself is fantastic.

Your website isn't that bad in a design way ,its easy to read the text and easy on the eye. Just too much info in 1 hit on 1 page.

What you need to do is break into sections and follow the 3 click rule. Users wont be happy clicking more than 3 times to get the info they are after. Same goes for having to scroll to far to find what you are after

You could easily incorporate link buttons at the top and break that main page into sections - About, Shop, Studio, etc etc and make it more user friendly.

A users experience and how the feel about a website is made up in about 50 milliseconds of viewing a webpage so you need to hit em good and fast mate.

The design is fine, it's the
'Internet Marketing Letter' type style I don't like.

Saying that, I've NEVER liked those 'from the desk of' big long
letter type sales pages.

OTOH they obviously work as people keep using them.

I would leave it up and see how sales go first before changing anything.

I still hate the style though and it personally puts me off.

No offence though mate, I'm sure the drums are amazing and you seem like a really nice guy

Engineers don't make good marketers. Money may be tight, but try to hire an expert to cover that. You say you stand by your words 100%, and that's your prerogative, but if you're looking for advice you should reconsider the site design. I didn't even give you a chance, and I don't mind reading tech-drizzle. That, however, was way beyond my threshold. It became noise and I stopped reading altogether.

Best of luck to you. I gravitate towards the little guys, so I hope it's a success.

But at minimum change that heading -- before digging deeper I thought the price for your product was $28k. I'm an idiot, so why give me, and people like me, the chance to misunderstand.

"$28,587 worth of Electronic Drums for under $100... worth it?"

THAT would have perked my ears.

Waiting to hear some sample beats. Can't download the free samples to try out because I'm not with my recording computer. Post some sick beats!

Agreed. Take this advice.

For me, a very compact list of what is used and 10 or more sample beats + a free download of sample sounds is all you need. Let the sounds speak for themselves. A good website shouldn't even make you scroll down to see the price and exactly what you're getting. The type of description that is currently up there is something that should be reserved for a blog or an "about me" page, not a page where a product is being sold.

I kind of disagree. People almost ALWAYS scroll down to find a price purely from curiosity. And it seems to be working judging by all the comments on this thread.

If it was just a 'standard' type website it probably wouldn't be getting all this attention.

ah! clever purposeful marketing ploy! That's cool.
