Thread Starter | $200 Synth for $15!! (AAS Ultra Analog) Ultra Analog VA-1<BR> "No-Brainer" Deal from audioMIDI.com Oh...MY...God! Seriously guys, grab this if you can. I picked it up yesterday and am completely blown away with it. There are so many hidden features stuffed into a small space it's not even funny (gonna need your reading glasses as there's a snotload of very tiny buttons and knobs). The GUI, quite frankly, sucks, but the sound is absolutely ear-gasmic -- big, beautiful and very pleasingly plump (with a niiiice round butt ). Every other place I know of is still selling this for just shy of 200 bucks.

hey. thanks for the tip. there's another thread around here somewhere about this deal. i picked it up a few days ago and finally had some time to mess around with it last night. it's definitely a nice tool to throw into the toolbox for only $15. it really is a no-brainer. don't thinked i'd pay $200 for it though. marc |

Maybe a stupid question, but after getting my download link, how the heck do i install this thing? It's not a .dmg and won't take being given an extension as one. Not a .zip either. How did you guys install after downloading? The file also seems to only be 32 kB that could make sense given it's all physical modeling... Any help here would be much appreciated... |

I think what you downloaded was the PDF. It should have the links in there if you open it up with Acrobat (right click/open with). If that doesn't work, I'll send you the links.] Btw, I got it. Sounds cool, but I get the problem I get with most soft synths: a lack of power in the bass range. No matter, for $15 it will get a lot of good use for midsy sounds. The standalone interface is good for just playing and not dealing with the DAW onstage, |

Aha, got it! Thanks for the help pablo! Wow AudioMIDI's site could use a better explanation of the install process. The file didn't save with any extension so w/out Slutz-help I would have been stumbling around in the dark. Now let's give this bad-boy a try... |
