Thumbs up Anyone tried the Focal XS monitors for your "personal rig"?

Hello everyone! First, let me preface that I'm a VERY happy Barefoot MM27 user as far as studio monitors go. But I recently went shopping for a killer speaker setup just for my "work laptop" which I also use to sample mixdowns, but moreover to simply enjoy music... It goes without saying that if you're listening to MM27s in the studio, listening to your iTunes on crap consumer speakers (even so-called prosumer stuff) leaves a lot to be desired....

Focal XS to the rescue! Although marketed as a prosumer line, gotta tell you these things are the bomb... Everything from cosmetics to range completely blew me away.

Sure $600 is a tidy sum for "computer speakers" but one could argue these babies can really serve as back-up studio monitors for A-B testing because they perform at or better than scores of monitors priced 3x as much...

Very impressed and almost forgot, the built in iPod dock/charger saves a USB port on your MBP!

I just picked up a pair after hearing them in a store and they do sound amazing, especially for the price. I've actually got them set up in my living room with my TV. I haven't used them for mixing yet but I'd imagine they'll work well for that...they image very well and the sound is surprisingly punchy.
