Just bought Xils LE and your soundset. Glad to support a fellow Dub!

Just bought the GotharMan Demoon last week too. I saw you posted in that thread. It sounds, looks and feels great. For want of a more accurate description, it's got a real drifty analogue sound to it. The grainer and distortion are dirtyyyyy.

Hey thanks Sofine , I've been almost bought the DeMoon a couple of times , but the tiny lcd is putting me off , I've love the sound of the online demos , but Id much prefer the DeMoon if it was in a larger box . How are u finding it ?

Brickman - bought and downloaded your Omnisphere sounds this morning. EXCELLENT!! Already used them in a couple of pieces of music. Downloaded the xils 3 patches tonight and will import tomorrow. Can't wait. Loving the xils more and more every day. Looks like I'll need to upgrade to the full version. thumbsup

Thanks for the great sounds and reasonable prices.

I am quite impressed with it. It can obviously be very hard, gritty and dirty, but it does have a soft side too. You can create lovely sounds with a slight pitch drift which helps create nice analogue sounding pads. I am finding it fun to layer it with my newly acquired JD-990, kind of ying and yang

It is small, very small, but that's not off-putting for me. In fact, a good thing for playing live. Small box, big attitude!

The menu is actually very easy and quick to use and very intuitively laid out. Not anywhere nearly as daunting as my old spectralis menu system (even with all its knobs!).

Now, the only issue Ive had with it is that the midi port came loose the second time I unplugged my midi cable whcih suggests a bad build, at least on my unit anyway. Ive never seen this happen before. Quite disappointing to be honest. I've contacted the dealer in Denmark but they dont seem too interested in helping me out (i.e. collect, fix, ship back to me). I am waiting for them to get back to me on this with a solution. Let's hope they play fair.

I have agreed with them to do a demo song for them using only the DeMoon which I did start, but I am holding off finishing it until they hopefully fix my unit for me.

You are welcome to try it out of you want (I'm in Blackrock) at any [family-friendly] time!

Cheers,

Simon.

So well programmed. His sets for MiniMonsta and Imposcar rock too!

When you think the XILS 3 set was achieved with the 'cut down' 'no brainer' version, I can't wait to hear what he comes up with on the full version what with all those extra modulation options!

Inspirational stuff indeed...

Brickman or someone else....

I can't get these sounds to load into the 3LE version. The import option is greyed out on the files I bought. I seem to recall a workaround somewhere but can't find it. I'm excited to load these in and check them out, but am at a deadend standstill at the moment. Any ideas?

drBill ,

There's a link at the bottom of this page :

www.xils-lab.com • View topic - Cannot import presets within XILS 3 Lite version.

thats the updated LE version that fixes the import bug under 10.4 . Thanks for your comments btw

Thanks. Got the upgrade. Imported and am in the process of enjoying the patches!!!

Now, all they need to fix is the midi problem and it will be awesome. In PTHD 7.3.1, you can play the xis3 via a midi track or on the instrument track itself, but when arming either the midi or instrument track for recording, it will NOT record any note information. You have to switch the midi track to another soft (or hardware) synth, try to "remember" how to phrase note lengths, and then after recording, switch back to the xis3. A major PITA, but one I'm willing to fight with right now as the xis3 sounds so nice.
