I'm installing it on my non-music production machines, and even being brave enough to remotely install it on my client's machines (non-music), but am waiting to hear the good word from other users before putting it on the main stage...

I just did it. no problems. my mac actually starts a bit faster. and apps seem to open a lil faster than before. nothing crazy but a touch faster.

.8 is a minor update isn't it? Security, networking, bluetooth, etc? Anything that might touch specifically on audio in some way? |

| With Pro Tools you never know. These updates have been a disaster to some in the past.

only audio upgrade was something with garage band not logic so everyone should be fine, minus maybe pro tools users. if digi did not say its ok to upgrade id wait. Logic, apogee ensemble here all is good.

As always, we Pro Tools users should wait a year for the company to react. - c

| GS Community Manager | 10.5.6 and 10.5.7 were both qualified within a couple weeks, if not days, IIRC. Record time. Hoping this is no different.

Thus was a very minor maintenance upgrade. Don't know why you posted here or what all the excitement is. Snow Leopard-- a real upgrade-- comes in a few weeks.

this upgrade made my fw800 port on my macbook pro stop working. Went back to 10.5.7 and everything is fine again. I have the version with the 400 and 800 ports.

Disk utility permission repair is not working anymore. It analyses the files files and just says the permission differ, it as if I was using verify permissions
