The Logic list group buys were nice, but they don't seem to happen anymore from what I can tell.

Stiff's blog seems to keep up with most of the GB's and special offers I'm interested in:

As far as initiating or campaigning for a GB... I haven't a clue.

Wow... after a year and a half, they started back up with Sonalksis a few months ago, and now Ohm Force. The only one I ever did was Wave Arts... got Power Suite 5 for half price. I still use TrackPlug and FinalPlug on a regular basis, so I consider it money well spent. Plus, Dr. Bill Gardner is a personal DSP hero of mine.

There's nothing wrong with shopping for a good deal... be it used, new, GB, discount, promotion, rebate or whatever. In fact, it's a way of life for me, and not just gear.

I've saved several thousand dollars over last year's MAP on hardware and software this year by a combination of the above and buying gear manufactured by companies, primarily SSL, that reduced their MAP.

I'm just doing my part to save the world economy, promote better international relations, combat piracy and support good small manufacturers... all at about an average 40% discount.
