It's $10.

Oh, come on... that's a valid question. It's one that I don't have an answer for, but valid nonetheless. I've only tried it on my G4 PowerBook, so that's not much of an indication, though it doesn't seem to be a hog.

It may not be Intel optimized or whatever the correct term is. I have MasterComp which is hog on PowerPC and MacIntel... issues with Xcode, IIRC.

I've played around with most of the modules now, but I've got to get its internal patch manager more friendly with my PT sessions. I love the 16 second stereo/32 second mono delay I made! I wonder if this is a prelude to Nitro II?

I got my serial number within 16 hours. This is the kind of plug in that adds "special sauce" so well, and makes you look a lot cleverer than you really are- well, then I reallly am, I should say. It does the mundane very well, such as choruses, it does the filter sweep thing as good as any plug in I have heard, and excels at "delay landscapes", which I didn't realize it would be able to do.

And, as was so ably mentioned-

It's 10 bucks.

One final thought is that you can download the demo for 14 days first, if 10 bucks is a daunting commitment...

Absolutely fantastic. Bought the cheap Breverb deal, buying this too. Looking forward to seeing what else they come up with in the months ahead!

Damn! I bought Nitro five years ago!

But at this price, I just had to buy it again!

Seriously though, PSP are a really talented (small) group of dudes. Check out all their stuff.

I guess my e-mail got lost in cyberspace, but I called Audiomidi and they sent me a new one within 5 minutes. Friendly support, and a great sounding plug!!! Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the heads up on this one. I can't figure out why i didn't buy it sooner. At $10, it should be a crime not to buy it. Deeeeep!

Just bought this.
As previously, AudioMidi.com was swift. All it took was half an hour.

Now lets wait for the $10 Vintage Warmer...

Real CPU hog!!!

Have you guys noticed any high CPU spikes when using it in a 32bit host installed on a 64bit OS?

I'm using it within Cubase 5 32bit on Win7 RC x64 and each time I open an instance of Nitro, I can see my CPU meter jumping. Reverence (Cubase 5 convolution reverb) is known to be a real CPU hog but Nitro is far worse (I have a C2D@2.66Ghz).

I ran some tests on Cubase 4.5 32bit + XP 32bit and didn't get any of those CPU spikes and glitches even though each instance still uses a lot of CPU power.

What's your experience with the performances of this plugin?
