Free Cubase iC Application Now Available

After introducing the Cubase iC remote control application running on iPhone and iPod touch at this year’s NAMM show, you now can download your version from the Apple iTunes Store for free!

Cubase iC is a powerful remote control for Cubase 5 and Cubase Studio 5, giving you immediate control of essential functions from anywhere within your Wi-Fi network’s range. With it you can access basic transport functions for monitoring playback position and controlling the unique Arranger Track, ideal for live performances.
Why Apple hasn't done this for Logic is a complete mystery.

Good to see they have time to program for anything and everything EXCEPT fixing the bugs in Cubase. How about a version of Sequel that will download the ability to beat box in my brain??

no i-Phone nor i-Pod here

Big time but the solution is that you need to have "bonjour" installed from Apple for the SKI to show up in your C5. So for those that is not working, get to apple's site and download either Bonjour or Itunes and all will work perfect after.

Cheeeeeeeeeeeers!!

Been playing with it a bit today - it's a hoot. Though, don't try to connect it while Cubase is in play (silly and unnecessary, I know...)

My recording area is much more than a USB cable away from my DAW, so this will be helpful. It will eliminate the hit record, run back to the mic and slap on the headphones buzz killer.

As I play with it, I can see a bunch of enhancements that I'd like. We're NEVER satisfied.

Anyone having problem with Cubase iC iphone software not connecting with Steinberg? I just started Cubase and wanted to record myself from the booth and started Cubase iC (latest version software downloaded on steinberg website) and Cubase sees the SKI remote and when I start the iC software in iPhone and I hit connection and HIT connect... i got the message saying :

" Please pick a host:" but there is nothing in the host lists... anyone experiencing this problem? Need help here!!

Hi, did you ever solve this? I am having the same problem right now. I tried out the thing under Cubase4 over a year ago and it worked, inbetween I upgraded to C5 and now I tried this again but I get an empty host list as well :-(
Best,
Flo

Just in case it might help ;

I'm running Windows 64bit, and Cubase 5 32bit - i couldn't get this to work (i did try both 32 and 64bit just out of sheer frustration). But as i just recently upgraded my windows to 7 ultimate, i tried again ... this time the device WAS showing up (it wasn't before, and i had made sure to have bonjour installed and running) but when i tried to connect, i still got the cold shoulder. So i gave the device a 'password' (from the device setup in cubase) and gave it one last shot ... BOOM! It worked.

In terms of distance .. i just laid out a multitrack and was able to control it from downstairs ... so it's pretty sweet!

Hope this helps! (this was the first place i came to when i needed help with this issue)
