Thanks for this library. I'm really looking forward to trying it. For what it's worth, I own/use all of your libraries via Revolver, and they land on ever mix (with extremely satisfying results to my ears). Very happy customer who will definitely repeat business... thumbsup
I've put the gun to the engineer and a bottle of beer. He is making the Revolver IRs as we speak. You should expect them in a few hours.

The main Library Folder is protected and asks for your password if you make changes so I find it more convenient to have my IRs in the User/Library Folder

Sampling the Eventides could be a chalenge as a lot of the reverbation presets have some kind of modulation or Pitch-Shifting involved. Think of the Famous Black Hole which pitches down over time creating a wounderfull lush ambient.

Though the Chambers and Rooms in the DSP4000 are made of 4 or 8 Delay Clusters and most of them are Mono-To-Stereo only so Sampling should be no problem at all.
All in all they sound a bit thin but often fit very good in a mix.

I would like to have some Impulses of an H8000 as there are no free IRs available and the DSP Power of this Unit is many times of that a H3000 or DSP4000 can provide (but this Units are 20 Years old)

And yes, the instructions provided by the preset maker are correct.
Happened to me on Tiger 10.4.11 (in fact, I think I was one of the first to experience it, and went through a lot of back and forth with the helpful folks at Acousticas trying to figure out the source).

Lucky for me I've got Altiverb to load these wonderful impulses into.

Thanks to Acousticas, and a double thanks to Casey at Bricasti for making this possible! (Well, if not "possible", then legit). Class act all the way! thumbsup

The money saved by getting these IR's for free will go to my "gotta get an M7" fund!

Thanks to everyone who made this possible!

I noticed these are all at 48Khz. For those of us working at 44.1Khz, would you suggest converting all of the IR .wav files to 44.1 with a good standalone converter (i.e. R8Brain) or should we just let our IR plugins do the converting?

Thanks for the great free sounds. These impulses and presets sound good but I'm getting something that sounds like a few seconds of "tail noise residue" at the end of reverb tails regardless of if I edit the decay down to a shorter lenght or not. Is that expected? (This (high pitch residue tail) appears to be noticeable only using a clave sound to trigger the verb). This happens on every preset I tried. (Space Designer OSX 10.4.11).

The plug-in should take of that.

Hi TC5,

when constructing the IRs we crank up the volume of every tail to listen for artifacts like noise etc. We are not hearing any "residue" here.

So no, that is not expected. The tails should vanish into "nothing" smoothly. Given the fact that you state that setting volume envelope to a shorter setting than that of the IR points in the direction of SD showing off attitude once again ;-)

Do you have another convolver in which you could try the IRs ?

Hi thanks for the reply. This may be a non issue after all. I'm only hearing this with one high pitch clave sounds. Some lower pitch claves and other percussions are not giving this result. Strange Space Designer bug perhaps? I have no other verbs to try this on.

Waves IR-1 - Presets

I just knocked up the presets for all you Waves IR-1 users out there.

They can be downloaded from here.

https://rcpt.yousendit.com/690492680...09048a955c4f16

I can't get mediafire.com to upload so I think there's a restriction on the number of downloads.

I'll try again later, but feel free to re-upload to a more permanent link.

oh.. and..

Nice one Acousticas !

Just wanted to say 'thank you' again to both Bricasti and Acousticas for this. These sound lovely.

Would there be any chance to get some modulation presets or suggestions for some popular mod delay software?

Many thanks to Acousticas and Bricasti for the sounds! Also, thanks to Human Ray for providing those SD presets - this sure turned out to be a great night and a pleasant surprise!

Thank you for these incredible samples. I feel all sorts of warm and fuzzy, really. The goodwill shown by both Acousticas and Bricasti is astounding- I hope it is returned to you a thousand times over.

Good form.

Such a statement coming from us may seem hypocritical given the fact the we, ourselves, offer libraries of hardware reverbs. However, we only release versions of hardware which is no longer in production and/or not being sold.

Initially, we asked Bricasti for permission to sample the M7. They did not grant it to us so we terminated the idea and abided by their decision. Then we read in a thread on this very forum that Casey condoned the idea of M7 IRs as long as they were free or of donation-ware character. Since we had already sampled all the M7 factory presets for test purposes, prior to the Bricasti declination, we thought that we'd share what we had made rather than having them sit around on the hard drive.

While we believe in convolution technology we also believe in ethics. Releasing a library prior to consensus from the vendor who is putting bread and butter on the table via his product is not something we are prepared to do ;-)
hey, that was a good answer thumbsup

Whoa boy, let's get a grip. I know these are the best IRs out there right now, but dead nuts?

Let's add true stereo, color free earlies and the devastating lowend to these presets before we can go there.

Do I need to come over for a demo again? I will bring another couple of bottles of the Reposado if you listen before we drink! Apparently your memory is a bit blurred.

However, a huge thumbs up to Chris on this one. Thanks again for getting them out there for free! thumbsup
