Whatever dude....you wont answer my questions or requests. Wavetable lookup, what pre and mic help with your "emulation", picture of your "SSL" or anything you've engineered.

Get some ears!

CDS - why don't you post stems (or an OMF of a multitrack, better yet) and let the GS community take you on with your Record challenge?

No doubt there are a wide range of mixing options, skills and techniques here - it would be a great test for Record to see if it holds up to the claims.

If it does, then I have no doubt every self-respecting engineer, pro and project studio, and bedroom musician in the world will ditch their Neves, SSLs, Harrisons, Euphonix, ProTools (HD or LE), Fairlights, Nuendo, Sequoia, etc for a $300 copy of Record (probably $250 street). Seems like it could turn out to be a no-brainer, so to speak.

If it doesn't, well, we can just chalk it up to the "you get what you pay for" adage.

So then you are more than able to prove to the world that Record sucks by giving me a mix clinic.

My business ventures are no longer involved with making music, more now with saving it.

I am only challenging the cowards that choose to take jabs at me, by no means have I at any time disrespected what people choose to use for their DAW, in respect to the thread, I am just stating my satisfaction for the Record program and my opinion on how it stacks up against other things I own.

When Record is released in September there will be more than enough people (kids) in here strutting their stuff.

Then why are you here if you not recording music or making it. It's a forum for people who actually work in the industry or guys who wanna make their personal music better.

Go save a Whale....musics fine with out you, it was before and it will be after.

Dude, you guys are the production company so post the stems.

I stand by what I say about the Record program, now you guys want to dispute that with all this disrespectful talk directed towards me personally, no problem, be a man and beat me. If you don't like Record, fine I can respect that.

If Record succeeds or not has no effect on my revenue lol.

So your premise has changed from stacking up with an SSL, which you own, to being better than a plugin......plz

My apologies to the other members here and Jules for this nonsense. I am removing myself from this non-constructive banter. If we want to move to some constructive mix/master comparisons using different members, I will be happy to participate using Record.

Lately I've been mixing reason songs rewired with PT HD in an ssl6000... is actually a bomb mix for me, especially if you look for a glitchy sound, worked great for my elektro stuff. When I compared the mixes with the reason bounces the difference was obviously huge, even though I had done very settle changes... the ssl is like glue... love it... I wish I had my own But until I win the lottery I'm looking forward to this Record, I really hope propellerhad captured the "glue" essence of the ssl.

For those that haven't heard back after emailing Props, it does say that they allow another group of Beta testers every time they add/fix something new in the app.

I'm also assuming there would be a substantial queue.

I wouldn't expect a reply until you have been accepted.

Thanx for the input. Just wondering, does this mean that we need to resend again an email to apply for beta or one time is good?

Thanx

Pretty sure we just end up going in a cue and when there are available slots, we're in.

Also read on the site/blog that there's levels of 'unlocking' of the application so to speak. Something about if you submit a bug, you're version then has save/recall ability via internet authorization.

They've setup a mini blog linked from the main site with tutorial vids and other stuff.

Check it out here: Propellerhead Software Propellerhead Software - Crew Pages
