ZenPro Audio: Site Launch March 8th, 8:51pm EST

After 3 months of coding and the “un-fun” side of running a pro audio dealership, I am finally ready to publish the site. Due to technical difficulties (OK it's been scheduled for a MONTH and they are being SLACK, when Time Warner Business Class tells you 10 days don't believe them...) I will not launch my phone system for likely one additional week. However, this gets us going on a minimum at least. I can call if you really need to talk about gear this week, but I would say 7 days and I am up and running and publishing my incoming phone # on the site (it's a really cool # actually...!).

ZenPro Audio is at least ready for prime time as an outlet for web purchases and basic info. I feel comfortable telling you the site is good as far as functional. However it is far from ideal for what I will eventually have when more time has passed. Videos, clips of the gear to compare with, reviews, the works. I had to start off with the basics to build on though at this time. Any suggestions are taken seriously, and if you see site errors I would really appreciate a heads up.

I’m using some iconic graphics along the top home page for basic site info. I’ve never been a fan of “stock” looking graphics, so I had my brother in law Matt sketch those from pictures he found, and my friend John scanned them in and digitized them. I want to have the least amount of clutter possible, and still be informative though.

If you check out my specials page accessible from the home page, you’ll see some specific deals I have put together. If I do say so myself, there are some very special specials there.

Many things are in stock, ready to ship. Some things are on order, some things are being ordered this week. Either way, if you have any needs and a pressing time frame, just communicate back to me so I can get you square. There are some lines not populated quite fully, but most are there.

My control room / office is almost done, my father in law and my wife are in there putting the finishing touches on the cloth covered wall now. The help from family and friends has been outstanding, a real group effort!

There will be a “Coffee’s REDDI” promotion happening very shortly on Gearslutz in the “New Product Alert” area. Be sure to check it out in a bit, I think it’s a great contest that many will enjoy. To all my international friends, sorry but I had to keep this contest as USA only.

Stay tuned for more info, and I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to take care of you, so I can take care of my family. Venturing out on my own was the hardest decision I have ever made, and it was hard to walk away from sitting side by side with dear friends also. However, I am confident that ZenPro Audio will turn into the most informative pro audio gear site on Earth!

i only just started talking to warren about a mic and sound i am after. without a doubt he is one of the best guys i have talked to. he takes his time to really find out what YOU want, and he suggested a much CHEAPER mic to me

imagine that!

so far i am really really impressed with him

there are a few really good dealers here and i put him in that category right off the bat

Warren is one of the very few gear pimps here on Gearslutz who comes across in his postings as being completely on the level. At worst, he's just another gear pimp fishing for a sale, but at best, he's a salesman who knows how not to be annoying, arrogant or rude, and he has chosen to respond to the forum with respect and straighforwardness, which only adds to his credibility, imho.

I typically buy used gear, but simply because of his attitude and approach to Gearslutz, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him first. Good luck with your new shop, Warren.

Yes, I left FEA which was a 50/50 partnership. It was not an easy decision and had nothing to do with anger at anybody. I have a wife and 6 kids and I needed to control my future and being able to take care of them. It really does in the end, all boil down to that. Choosing a one man operation is NOT something to dream about...I'm working with banking and Quickbooks right now and won't be done for hours...I'd rather be recording!

The site will get better, I really don't consider it great...yet.

With your support (I know, a very salesman thing to say but it's true) I will be able to continue what I've always loved doing...providing more info before the sale and not basing a sale on what I make more on etc.

PS: Sneak peek studio pic below. I will start a thread at some point about the construction etc, but this is my fabric wall control room / office. That's a Mitsubishi "Mr Slim" AC unit, those things are seriously pretty quiet...!!!
