Just got AK's Piano up and running... what a lovely sounding instrument~! Very playable and nice warm tone. Certainly not the piano tone for EVERY mix, but I just got lost in it for a few hours and it felt good

Yeah, I'm a big fan of this piano. I've really enjoyed playing it and using it in mixes. I have found that for me, it sits really well in rock/pop and even folkier arrangements.

For a classical piece, there might be better choices, but for the kind of music I work on the most, this is a really good one.

Im thinking about buying this one, does it require a ilok key or something like that? Because then I will not buy it, and do I need to download the kontakt player to run this as well?

sweet, so its serial key then or some call and response thingy?

and is it 6.9 gb or 17 gb? because some retailers say different on their websites

Last question, how do you think this plugin suits for house music, does it have that punch when played in 128 bpm tempo or such?

Yeah, it's a serial key or something (I don't remember exactly how NI does stuff, but it's not iLok).

The library is less than 10GB.

As to whether it would work in house music, that would just totally depend on your production and what other instrumentation you have going on. This is a Yamaha piano, so it has the trademark Yamaha things going for it. Works well in pop/rock. Very articulate in the transient, doesn't have a huge low-mid thing going on, etc.

Oh, and yes, you have to download the Kontakt Player to run it. Kontakt acts as the host, which runs as a plugin inside your DAW.
