Will there be variants of any of these modules available for the rack mixer system or for the in-development console?

Good question. Probably too early to tell, but if the mixer works out Im sure something would be available....

About how steep is the HP filter slope on the EQ?

Nice work by the way.

Hi Wade,

I remember you saying on another thread (think it was the Germanium console thread), that you were planning to make a one unit high 19" rack enclosure that would be able to house 3 modules. At the time you were saying that it would enable people to incorporate their 500 series stuff with your console. I was just curious if you were still planning to continue with that idea, because I might be looking for quite a few if you were.

Cheers.

I cant remember if I said I was or just that it would be cool. Now that there are many 500 choices I think it would be cool cause you could make different channel strips.....

I've often wondered why no one has created this option yet. I wonder if you could get a few switches on the front to facilitate different routing options a la Avedis R52.

In other words input 1 directly into 2, input 2 directly into 3, input 1 directly into 3.

Absolutely agree. In fact, that was gonna be my follow up post.

The other thing that would be cool, would be a dual version of the above. Perhaps it could even have a 'link' to turn two compressors from dual mono to stereo.

Couldn't hear much on the namm floor but the comps were sounding pretty snappy.

the eqs were hard to really hear well above the din.

I asked Avedis to do it when I started working on the console but he was busy working on his pre. To me it makes a lot more sense than a two slot!!!

Hard to know. If we continue with the 19" idea it would fit fir sure but it will probably be big (2ru?).....

We should have the RS124/Altec out this year at some point. Abbey Road wants us to get done asap.....Then on to the REDD47.
