Thread Starter | GAUGE PRECISION INSTRUMENTS ANNOUNCES ECM-87 MICROPHONE Gauge Precision Instruments, Inc., the collaboration of mult-platinum recording engineers Chandler Bridges and Rob Chiarelli is pleased to announce their new microphone: the ECM 87 The ECM-87 is a large diaphragm, cardioid condenser microphone. The fully-gradient, transformerless design makes it the perfect choice for home or studio recording. With ultra-low self noise and high sound pressure rating, the ECM-87 faithfully captures the dynamics and nuances of the voice and musical instruments in a 20Hz-20kHz frequency range. It is impressive when recording vocals, drums and stringed instruments, such as the acoustic guitar. At it's debut on November 6th, the ECM-87 was recognized as having a classic look and feel, with solid construction and faithful sound reproduction holding it's own against many "studio microphones". Each ECM-87 is hand selected and ear tested by both Bridges & Chiarelli. Available in limited quantities at GAUGE MICROPHONES - CALIFORNIA, U.S.A. |
