comp ratio ??

Note the compression ratio specs on the PreSonus site ... 1:1 - 2:1 ...

I thought this was a typo when I was looking at the Eureka (was the same spec for that unit) - but apparently not ...

Wrote to PreSonus asking for clarification ... never heard back ... but several users have said that the compressor part of the Eureka is 'minimal', so I guess its not a typo - and presumabaly the same for this new unit ...

Shame ... otherwise useful channel ... and still useful if you only want to use minimal comp ...

Cheers ... Carter

Thumbs up

Good news boys and boy-like girls,

The PreSonus Studio Channel's ratio is apparently 10:1 in stead of the official 2:1 which is documented wrong all over the world.

Statement from PreSonus: Studio Channel quick review - Page 2 - PreSonus Forums

Page from the manual confirming this: http://www.nsbcc.org/downloads/presonus002.jpg

Big difference ha? For me the difference of thinking about buying one and thinking about one.

When you talk into the mic that goes into the studio channel...does the VU meter move? I am using an RE- 20 and i tried some other mics as well and it doesnt register on the meter! it's brand new! this cant be! someone tell me that i'm doing something wrong or that it's not sensitive! I have to max out the gains to make it show on the meter.
