I assume the accousticas has more programs sampled, right? that should be worth the price.

I dont know how many Programs they have sampled from the actual L300 but there are reverb times ranging from 200 milliseconds to 64 seconds. And a total of 300 IRs. The lib is well worth its money.

Okay... I feel kind of like a dummy. I have the Acousticas IRs (300 and EMT) and LOVE them. One question... where the hell is the Mod Delay II plug-in in PT HD 7.4. It is indeed in my plug-ins folder but I cannot find it in the plug-in menus...

The mod delay II is, i think, all digi's delays. Like Short,Medium and Long delays.

DUH on my part! I never use those plugs so I was looking for, literally, "Mod Delay II" in the plug-in list.

Tried it and it does make a difference with the IRs!

Me supper-lucky-happy guy now

I use the digidesign delays a whole lot. They are part of the most essential toolbox I have. Awesome for creating stereo effect. Actually, the whole pack of digi plugs tend to get overlooked by all the shiny other TDMs, sad cuz they are seriously efficient and great sounding.

Aside from that, I use the ModDelay settings from Acousticas on longer tails, and that makes a huge difference.

Real Lexicon 300

FWIW, finally got round to downloading these and .. comparing them to my real Lex 300. Hmm. Close, but there's a noticeable difference, some patches more than others. But globally, the IR's loaded into TL Space feel like 2D versions of the original 3D sounds.

I was pretty disappointed to be honest, really wanted to have more than one Lex in a mix. Maybe IR Reverbs aren't quite there yet - certainly makes me think twice about the whole IR technology.

Do you use the mod delay serial(first 300L then mod delay?) or parralel with the 300L IR's?

Fabulous, thanks.

Why all the variations? Is it a "suck it and see" scenario, or do they recommend specific mods/delays to go with specific types/settings?

I'm wanting to get an Acousticas IR set to step up Space Designer (or also use Kontakt 3) but need some advice. Am deciding between the 300 and 245, or the 252.

I already have UAD Plate 140, Space Designer, RealVerb (UAD), AudioMidi Breverb and Group buy CSR. Plus the 2 freebie IR packs from Peter Roos. I'm assuming the Acousticas IRs will be higher quality than the above mentioned stuff (except maybe the UAD Plate 140).

I had read someone saying that 245 was very similar to UAD 140 - yes, no?? If I can get the same or similar results with the 140, then I will choose another set, but which one? Thanks.

Mod delay type plug for PC VST (Cubase)?

Does anyone have any suggestions for a PC VST equivalent of the Mod Delay II? Can't seem to find anything that will do what those screenshots are showing me. Or alternatively, settings for Reverberate that will mimmick it?

Gary.

Sorry for reviving this thread. I have a question about this modulation setting. Do you really use 50% volume modulation? That creates a pretty serious panning effect.

Can you explain more?
