I have just equipped my G3 with remote desktop and it works fantastic. Now I can finally record my classical guitar in live room without running back and forth. I am waiting for Nuendo/Cubase remote for iPhone which I will gladly buy it.

Me too. I record myself playing guitar quite often and the booth is two heavy doors away from the tracking room. I'm willing to drop $1,000 at the drop of a hat for anything that would make recording easier, so the concept of this app was very intriguing. But I found Jaadu VNC which lets me take control of the studio computer from my iPhone and I can view and set levels using the iPhone. I think it was around $20.

We are almost there! :-) Just finishing up Mackie Control support which means that ProRemote will have a bunch of features that the actual Mackie Control has added to it at some point soon- (aside from native Logic support and Ableton live support, etc...)

Good luck to them I say!
It isn't sluggish- if it is, report a bug, I will fix it.

I dont mind paying silly amounts for stuff that is cool. But there is a limit to everything. This thing is more expensive than OS X native Remote Desktops and VPNS - and those guys are a hell of lot better than the iphone app. In addition they dont make funny sounds when searching for net. So I guess I'll continue to drag my MacBook Pro with my into the recording room and run PT via remote desktop..

If they were to sell this app for $20 they'd probably sell one piece to every PT user with an iPhone. And theres a whole lot. With this price I guess they'll sell about 100 but we'll see.

ProTransport is $7.99 US and is available starting tomorrow morning in the AppStore.

ProTransport is essentially the dedicated transport view from ProRemote or put another way is about the same as Frontier Design's Tranzport except it is 8 dollars instead of $150 and fits in your pocket- *oh and works more than 5 feet away from your desk*.

ProTransport will have the same host support as ProRemote and ProRemote LE (we are almost done with Mackie Control support).

We offer limited support for ProTransport due to its low price. As far as the future plans for ProTransport: we are thinking about adding a signal present/overload indicator.

Please let me know what you think other than you hate my prices, I get that part.
best,
alex

For 8 bucks you can get essentially the Tranzport starting tomorrow morning or today depending on your part of the world. Search for ProTransport in the AppStore.

Thanx a lot for the information. I have only one concern with the approach or policies of Apple Store the way it works. (please note just want to understand why is it like this, so just to make sure that my comment has nothing to do personally with developers like you).

I noticed that in Apple Store , you have either Free or already payable Apps. Why not have TRY IT Apps for those that are not Free Apps? My point here is very simple, it's not about the price tag or the 7$ witch i got no problem paying for but my concern is, what if (even though i know that i can report a bug or this or that) i go and purchase it, give it a try and no matter how great the software is working but after 3 days of trial, i just don't like the use of the developer Apps, so thats it i just lost 7 or 2 or 5 or 10$? Or will i get my money back if i happen not to like the use of the App from Apple Store?

Just trying to understand the approach of Apple Store because i've seen a lot of peeps that experienced this, paying for an Application and at the end, commented back and did not like and thats it, lost their money after trying the software. Ok the price tag of the Apps are not too high but still i believe just like any developers in today's technology to be able to Try an app before your finally buy it.

Althought i am looking forward your version that can Remote Nuendo, Reaper etc.. i will for sure jump and buy it to give it a try.

Thanx for the great developing a great App!!!!

Cheers!!

Agreed. I've been waiting a year for the price to drop- I'll wait another year or until someone else makes it. It's no biggie. It's a luxury item- not essential.
