Bootsie signal modelling fx suite

A package of 5 signal modelling fx vst plugins for windows. They are quite well received over at the kvr forum.

Rescue:
http://bootsy.cr68.com/plug/Rescue_Release_1.1.rar
KVR: Released: 'Rescue', part of new signal modelling fX suite
Rescue features decent gain and transient mechanics applied straight forward to m/s encoding. Some decent non-linear signal couloration is given as well.
For further features and overall handling please check the manual. Use the presets for inspiration but don't take them to serious - u will have to tweak your own like with EQ or Comp.

BootEQ:
http://bootsy.cr68.com/plug/BootEQ_1.0.rar
KVR: Released: BootEQ - a musical sounding mixing EQ
- four independent bands plus additional highpass filter
- special selected and musical sounding EQ curves and phase responses
- capable of reproducing several 'classic' curves
- well adjusted auto Q and versatile overlapping frequency ranges
- minimized curve warping at Nyquist frequency
- stepless selectable frequencies in low mid and high mid band
- adjustable HF shape
- level metering and output volume trim

Density:
http://bootsy.cr68.com/plug/Density_1.0.rar
KVR: Released: Density - smooth & versatile dynamics processing
• smooth and versatile stereo dynamics processing
• flexible audio encoding and routing
• designed for glueing all things together
• few controls, flexible work

TesslaSE:
http://bootsy.cr68.com/plug/TesslaSE_1.1.rar
KVR: Updated: 'TesslaSE' 1.1 signal modelling VSTfx
• transformer style signal saturation
• smooth transient polishing and increased RMS leveling
• subtle analog style signal colouration
• switchable sub bass enhancements

NastyLF:
http://bootsy.cr68.com/plug/NastyLF_1.0.rar
KVR: New signal coloring fx series
'NastyLF' is a specific and tuned combination of lowend EQ and output stage.
The low frequency EQ in classic boost/cut design offers both: broad 'oldschool' as well as rather narrow 'modern' curves (switchable) altogether with a variation of that special sounding curve designs when using boost and cut in combination. A new developed output stage offers tasty lowend saturation which can virtually be driven up to 24dB with internal automatic gain compensation.

Bootsie,

This is much appreciated! Giving them a try straight away. Very nice looking GUI's btw.

Strange how the KVR thread gets weird quick; it seems some people just can't respect stuff when it is free!

Cheers,

Joe

These are nice plugs.

Tessla's a great alternate distortion flavor to have around. Rescue and Density can do some useful things, and are definitely fun to play with.

Interesting plugins. Cool interface choices, not just in terms of design but of function, interesting philosophy on processing. Very glad this designer's around. He's got a great approach.

Cheers.

This guy is definitely doing some good work! My favorite is the BootEQ. I wonder how is compares to the UAD eqs. Can somebody talk on that?

Thanks for posting this. I pulled these down and have tried them all. I want to like them all, but I can't find a use for 4/5- they seem aimed at making cruddy recordings/mixes better. The EQ, however, is really great. I find myself reaching for it- it's got a really cool, tight sound to it. I have the UAD stuff, but this EQ is just different, a very different flavor than any software eq I've had before- it's an excellent freebie.

Tessla is a one-of-a-kind plugin. Amazing! It can emulate tranny distortion/saturation very well. Thickens up the mid-amplitude stuff without ruining the transients. Putting Tapebus after it is creamy goodness. It does wonders as a buss saturator also.

I'll have to mess around with Tessla. It's been a bit heavy handed thus far for me. I turn down every knob but it still colors and compresses. I guess that's the point, right?

From the title, I thought Bootsie Collins sold his name to Waves or some such crap. That truly would be the end of life as we know it.
