Gearslutz Mint Julep Special Offer!

It is with great excitement (and relief!) that we present the 'final' Bizzar Audio Mint Julep Mic Pre to you guys! After delays in the metal work we final got back lasercut lacquered panels for the L bracket that we think look quite spiffy.

The response from the shootout that James did and the reviews from Pan and Ken have been overwhelming and we are just glad that those who have had a chance to put them to use have loved them as much as we do.

We are currently in negotiations with a US based boutique audio company that we have grown to love about the possibility of producing the Mint Julep Stateside to keep up with the demand and to get them out quicker and we hope that they will partner with us as we will with them in the future.

In the meantime we have 13 (yeah I know what an unlucky number)! Mint Juleps that have all completed their final testing and are ready to leave the factory/shop and we wanted to give the Gearslutz community the first option to claim them.

As you may well know we are hoping to be able to meet the projected $399USD per channel, though these figures might need to be adjusted in time, but that is still our goal.

As an introductory offer we are going to let the 'unlucky' 13 go to fellow slutz for $350USD per channel ex. shipping (I'd estimate it will be an extra $30 shipping per channel to ship these Airmail to the US/Europe).

If you would like to purchase one please send an e-mail to info(@)ashtonaudio.com (Remove the brackets). This offer is limited to these 13 and are available on a first come, first served basis.

Also as noted in Ken's review the original review units had the output phase wired incorrectly but Peter (my musical cohort), being the clever dog allowed for the opamp to easily be adapted for inverting and non-inverting stages and so this has been corrected on these and subsequent units.

If you have NO idea what these funny looking audio machines are you can read more about them in this thread: http://www.gearslutz.com/board/new-p...ic-preamp.html

You may also enjoy Pan60's review which can be found here: the MINT JULEP!

And Ken Morgan of Wireline Studios in TX has just published his here: Professional Engineering - Real Results

Cheers

Matt

Hi Guys,

I have had a few e-mails from folks asking about the status of the 'special offer' and if we have any of the Minty's left at that price. The response on the first day was overwhelming with us selling out half of the units, but there are still a few left for those who are interested, we didn't want to promote them until the first 6 had shipped and were on their way to their news homes.

Shoot me a mail or PM if interested or you want to ask any questions.

Cheers

Matt
