I think Euphonix is hosting that video on an employee's wristwatch. I can't believe how friggin' slow the download is. Amazon EC2 anyone?

Much better - thanks.

I started to download the first video and left the house. 4 hours later it was just over half way. What a joke...

euphonix needs a better server lol

i watched the video and though i like it... i cant justify buying for my studio. press these 2 buttons then pres this and that then press the 2 buttons again and we now have the expander... i could do it with 2-3 mouse clicks and save time.
i like hands on mixing but all the other stuff slows my projects down honestly.. through the hotkeys being programable can speed things up.. i already program my own hotkeys in nuendo and on my control surface....
ima gearslut so i want it, but im not gonna buy it

My thoughts exately!
Im glad Im not the only one, who was very confused by that part of the video, and felt like their "shortcuts" was timeconsuming and hard to remember.

I agree. If I buy a controller, I expect it to make things easier and that I don't need to use shortcuts like with these controllers. The loading of a plugin seems to be alot more difficult too compared to opening a plugin using a mouse in logic 8 for example. Altough Mackie controllers are not as versatile, I would still buy them instead. Mackie have faders, knobs and transport controls just as I would like them to be.

FYI - to add an insert took pressing 7 buttons to bring it up in the project. Last time I checked, I could do it in 1 button click.

I was really thinking about getting one to speed up my workflow, but honestly I don't think it will as much as it should for the money.

I've never understood why it's better to hit a button on a controller instead of my keyboard. Everyhting's assignable in todays sequencers so...go for it.

Controllers really do help for mixing, I don't have faders and pots on my keyboard!

I partly agree to what is being said, but I do believe that customization can yield very high speed workflows. If you have ever seen someone that's fast on a System 5-MC then you know what I am talking about. Not for all tasks, like inserting plugs... But amazingly quick for editing, mixing, navigating the session, changing automation modes or whatever you dream to customize... It all depends on the power that Euphonix gives the user with the upcoming software updates.

They talk about customizing the soft knobs and touch screen knobs, but I'm wondering about customizing plugin controls? If this is copied from the mackie control protocol do you have to bank through several pages to get to the parameter you need. Or having frequency of an EQ band on one page and its gain on another page? Customizing this would make this a cool controller (for me)

All these videos only show included stuff, never 3rd party plugs. (understandable, but I think external plugs get used more than the included stuff)

That's the problem I have with controllers in general. The day I don't reach for the mouse is the day I don't take the controller back to L&M. I think I'm gonna hold out for a Duende Channelstrip Controller.
