Hi,

Yes, it was previously announced under Violet trademark. But when factory decided to split JZ and Violet trademarks and found new company JZ Microphones - Black Hole become the first microphone under JZ trademark, as it did not perfectly matched ideology of Violet. New company made to be more focused on JZ trademark and venture capital attracted meantime will assure some innovative mics in future - JZ mic / Research Lab

Stop by at the NAMM show and take a look and hear it! Hall E - # 1897.

So, what's going on inside the body here? Is that a plasma conduit?

Sure is cool looking.

This shockmount - stand holder system will be used in some more future models of JZ. It allows you put microphones and take them of with one small click As well position of mic is very easy as you are able to twist it for 45 degrees to each side. And it stays in the position...
