That would be rad if it was offered as a single plug, and not part of a package. Don't really need another EQ plug, but something like this would be nice for mults and a few other things....like reverb and/or delay sends and/or returns.

Info

This will be part of a pack. It will have another version of this box which is at the studio, a grey coloured one that the enginners always use as a pair for the green one. It will also have an 8k filter box which is very cool also we are modeling the transformers used in the chain.

It will be avaible in Jan on TDM, RTAS, AU, VST. You can download a demo then from www.abbeyroadplugins.com.

Also read Recording the Beatles to read up on the history of these boxes they hav been used on a great deal of the Beatles recordings.

Any feedback on the interface or things you would like to see implemented let us know.

Cheers,

Tom

Hello

I'm interested in what you said about modelling the transformers used in the chain. I thought that the EMI eq effects, e.g. the RS127 and 8kHz eq boxes were passive and, therefore, had no transformers.

Thanks, Ben

Just caught wind of this new plug; part of the Abbey Road Brilliance plug-ins pack.

Any word on the demo's yet for them all on your site?

Thanks in advance,

Ash

I think the plug-in window needs to be bigger. It only covers half the screen.

I think you need a 'smaller' screen! Like a 30".

Hi all,

We’re gearing up for the Brilliance Pack launch at the moment. This should be released in the next couple of weeks in all formats including VST and AU. Pricing will be announced upon release. Keep an eye on our website for updates and thanks again to you all for your patience.

The original RS127s are indeed passive. The interfacing transformer is simply used to connect older equipment with modern mixing consoles which have different line level and impedance to those that were around when the RS127 was built. It was only when revisiting the RS127 in recent times, and by happy accident, that our engineers discovered the transformers gave an 'effect'. We've included a version of the RS127 with the "transformer effect" within the Brilliance Pack.

Best wishes,

I just discovered these plugs from this thread...I'm loving the demos. Really great for adding crack to a snare or attack to a kick. I really like the transformer color of the "Box" version, although I didn't know why I liked that one the best until I went back and re-read the descriptions...I do wish they could be purchased individually, since at $200 (which is a reasonable price, regardless) they get pushed down on my long list of "gear to buy".

The mastering pack is great as well.... I'll miss them when my demo expires next week. I do hope to own them eventually... great plugs!
