RealTraps Announces New Bass Trapping and RFZ Ceiling Tiles

New Milford, CT, USA - August 20, 2007 - RealTraps is pleased to announce their newest product line, the RealTraps Ceiling Tiles. The product line comprises eight models of ceiling tile ($49.99 - $99.99), which are being offered as an affordable and attractive alternative to hanging bass traps and RFZ panels from a grid ceiling.

Normal home- or office-style ceiling tiles are problematic when installed at first reflection points on ceilings, because they're too reflective at high and mid frequencies, and they're too thin to offer a useful amount of bass trapping. RealTraps Ceiling Tiles elegantly solve the dilemma of treating first reflection points and adding additional bass trapping to grid-based dropped ceilings.

All sizes of the new RealTraps Ceiling Tiles are available in any of RealTraps' four standard colors - black, gray, white or wheat. Tiles are available in both 2 x 2 and 2 x 4 foot sizes, and are offered in thicknesses of 1.5 inches (primarily for control of high and mid frequency reflections) or 3 inches (for bass trapping). Like their MiniTraps and MondoTraps products, RealTraps Ceiling Tiles can be ordered in either a Standard version offering a controlled amount of high and mid frequency reflection, or a HF version offering greater high and mid frequency absorption for treating first reflection points or for controlling flutter echo problems between floors and ceilings. The dimensions of the tiles are actually one-half inch smaller than their stated size, to allow the tiles to fit properly in a standard grid ceiling. Panels may be cut as needed to fit in partial grid openings.
