Finally the cable I ordered from Redco arrived.
Beautiful cable. Everything as ordered (configuration, type and brands) and very well assembled.
In the end: Thumbs up to Redco. thumbsup

I hope to still fill my cable needs from Redco in the future, but I will make sure to don´t use Global Priority as shipping option, since It took almost 30 days to arrive at the local post station (and I had to go there personally to pick up the package) and the import taxes was more expensive than what FEDEX usually charges....
So my advice for the Brazilian folks is to don´t use Global Priority... Use Fedex instead because the import taxes are cheaper and it takes only 2 or 3 days to arrive at your door.

dfegad Global priority

I've got a need to order a ****load of cable and connectors in about a week for a major install (three 96 point patchbays with outboard gear, a large FX rack and a large analog console).

I "sort of" know what I'm doing but at the same time it would be a large order and I'd want to make sure I've got it right...

So how's the phone support at Redco? I don't want to take up an hour on the phone but I think I really need to talk to a human when I do this.

I'll be organized up front, I promise

Chris from Redco here. Happy to spend whatever time we need to on the phone to get you the right stuff. I might not always pick up the phone first (although it's usually me), but I'll always call back pretty quick if I don't. Just leave me a voicemail if need be.

Thanks,
Chris Stubbs

Thanks!

I had drawn up a highly organized list but then I went and read the manual for my console (it's new to me) and found out a few of the connections I thought were balanced TRS are not balanced, so I need to revise my list before I call.

I'll probably be in touch next week then....

Last month I ordered a digital mogami db25 to XLR cable from Redco. I used their "Design Your Own cable" tool on a Sunday night and requested 3 day shipping because I wanted it for the weekend. They shipped it out the next day and I got it on Thursday (or was it wednesday??)! A custom ordered and built cable as nice or nicer as a pre-made Mogami cable and 40% less expensive, basically shipped out the same day ordered!!!!

Thanks Redco! thumbsup

I don't think Chris sleeps. I have ordered stuff on Sundays and I think at nights and within hours he emails me back.

Is there anything like this available in the UK or Europe? Anyone?

Redco looks great.
