Great! So if Prism can make an AES adapter fitted to the SPDIF connectors, what's stopping Apogee from doing the same thing with Ensemble? I know a lot of the complainers (including me :p) have been dissapointed by all of the professional level interfaces not having AES i/o - with the exception of Metric Halo. Max? |

im really curious to know how the orpheus will interact with the computer. Will it rely on apple's fw driver or will it have its own? I'm sure it will sound awesome, but will it be a PITA to use? Will early adopters go through the same kind of beta test that happened with the Ensemble? Not sure if anyone knows before its actually released, but I'm just wondering whether to consider sept a practical release date or a year from sept. I'd also love to see a screenshot of its mixer app and learn more about how it routes hardware and software inputs.

By practical release date, I didn't so much mean when it would actually ship as much as when it would be safe to buy -- you know, when the first wave reports back that all is wonderful, reliable, and stable! I want to live on the edge, but not the bleeding edge! | |
